you can make fortunate if you short it till summer.

however, I am not full time to invest, so do long only.

but will have a try one day when I am retired.

yes, I agree to wait for a while, at least 1 -2 weeks to test the bottom here, not catch a falling knife again.

I got at 170P and am waiting for average down, thinking the FTSE100 is too high atm.

Missed it in the Standard but its not exactly a quality publication Don. I think best to sit on sidelines for now, but does look cheap right now.

it's recommended in London evening standard last night for 186P TP.

Still further -10% to fall to reach the 2009 low. Interesting to see if that support holds or if a new all-time low is established.

Interim management statement possibly due in next two weeks. Yes, there is weakness in the mining sector as a whole and a flight to blue chips and divvy stocks ( S&P at record highs ) from riskier resource stocks, but this fall is so steep, it smells of some GEMD specific issue. Ideally, would like to buy back in having sold in mid 150s for another loss, but just don't trust the price action at the moment. There is potential for an almighty bounce if nothing undue is reported in the next statement, though !

or because some of us cut this loss to offset the CGT and trigged others stop loss price?

rimmy,
you are very brave to cut at this price.

Norges Bank increased holdings on 15/3, I cannot find any thing unusual during last 2 weeks,.

still hold.

So for those who have been invested here a while, is there anything lurking in the background that would cause this continuous drop? I believe this must be a new 52wk low.

new low here, very weak,

just do not understand why they sold at this low price.

there is no negative news at least in the short term, ( or i do not notice), diamond price is up and another banker just bought in...

if the candle forms a hammer with a higher tail then the other one the other day, we could be in for a reversal. sweeet.

salpara,
I can understand why they still do not pay the div as it's still small and needs fund on many projects.

if all of it's projects are fully running, then the cash we have on the balance sheet will be spent quickly and not much left for div.

The biggest problem here is that they have been listed for over 5 years and have turned a profit for several of them but have yet to pay a single penny of dividend.
Without a divi yield there is no support to the share price
I bought last year around 190 and sold around 170 when it became clear that there is no catalyst to drive the share price back up again.
They are a classic "Jam tomorrow" company.

want to pick some more at 140P if possible.
Norges Bank topped up 1.65M shares at 160-170P last week.

so we can get 10-10% cheaper chips here

dont worry too much. 74p of cash per share, no debt, might bounce along the bottom a little longer, but co has made clear its focus, and as diamond prices increase we'll reap the rewards

There often are with this stock. Its a haven for 'bot' trading it seems. I tend to ignore the trades unless I am desperate to get in or out, that is.
