Posted at 02/5/2024 13:19 by dcroston Yes, I accept that tracking the diamond index is somewhat of a redherring when taking into consideration the larger stones, especially ones > 100cts and considering that 70-80% of diamond sales come from larger stones but it still matters that prices stabilise to bring confidence to the diamond investor market. |

Large gemstones which make up 80% of sales still being recovered with a large stone still to be sold. If you listened to the last investor webcast you'll know there is a potential game changer in the offing. STRONG BUY. |

Posted at 04/3/2023 09:34 by davethehorse GEMD is a very closely held share with not a huge free float, approx 70% in the hands of institutional investors, directors or GEMD treasury. I would imagine the institutions will push for the divi to be maintained if the board belive its prudent and affordable. As I mentioned, they are due some large stone finds soon which would help with the cash balance. Either way, at 30p, they look of interest at this level, with diamond prices looking to have stabilised and likely to strengthen this year with China opening up. GL. |
Posted at 04/8/2022 17:16 by padooki Just an update to my post on 5th July. I contacted GEMD investor relations to query the June dividend payment. They got back to me today agreeing that it was short due to an admin error. They paid 1.95021p per share when it should have been 2.13921p based on Jun 1st exchange rates. Expecting a payment into my IG account tomorrow. Not a huge amount of money difference, but money that should be with investors nonetheless. So brownie points for investor relations. Black mark against IG who clearly couldn't be asked with my query. |
