04/1/2013 15:48 | Looks as though someone had mis-read the subscription price as 1p and not 1/10th of a p - Otherwise why pay more than £0.001p )ie:- 10 shares for 1p) Burning fingers ? 04 January 2013 Statement re share price The Directors of GEM note the recent movement in the Company's share price on AIM and confirm that they are not aware of any reason for this movement. Further to the announcement by the Company on 28 December 2012, GEM is still completing the subscription for new ordinary shares in the Company ("Subscription") at a price of GBP0.001 per share and expects to be able to provide final details regarding the Subscription early next week. | pugugly
04/1/2013 13:00 | As announced on 12th April 2012, based on an internal and detailed review of the Company's operations in Madagascar, it has become clear that, due mainly to a lack of sufficient financial resources for the necessary level of intervention and maintenance, its plantation activities there have resulted in significantly less success than was hoped. Further examination through external agronomic consultants confirmed that the success levels were too low to make a commercially viable business from the Company's existing plantations. Other recent third-party research on Jatropha suggests that it requires significantly more agronomic care and maintenance than originally thought as well as higher rainfall and the addition of fertilizers. The same report suggests that successful commercial scale exploitation of Jatropha is not now expected before 2020 and will require significant improvement on current techniques and breeding stock. | hectorp

15/9/2008 20:30 | If RAB get their investors to agree to the 3 year moratorium on redemptions they should be under no immediate pressure to sell out of GBF, etc, but it will still cast a long shadow over the share price given the size of the overhang. If RAB get turned down, then it will be bloody; their EGM is later this month. | reckless_rat
15/9/2008 11:27 | Don't RAB own 56% of these? And to my knowledge RAB are having a few redemption issues. To me this is a concern. Comments? | aim_trader
24/11/2007 10:44 | "Gem Biofuels - The other side of the biofuels equation 23-Nov-2007 The agreement allowed for the supply of up to 55% of GEM's crude jatropha oil production in Madagascar to Natural Fuels, at a free on board delivery price of US$500 per tonne." | aim_trader |
