17/11/2021 13:54 | Likewise @Kiwi. I have been top slicing roughly every 10p rise in GCL so had skimmed a bunch in 2 accounts when we hit 70p. I was a buyer of YCA yesterday. I think the miners have gotten a little bit ahead of themselves again. I would not be surprised to see a bit more consolidation whilst we wait for the U spot price to hopefully catch up. Agree @dogberry - GCL is tough to trade in and out due to the spread and low liquidity. It is better suited to buy and hold across the cycles. Yeah @papillon, I also think that 60p area looks like a logical area for some support subject to sentiment in the underlying holdings. | bpdon
17/11/2021 13:27 | Looking at the GCL chart we've had a complete Elliot Wave Cycle. The 1st wave started around the 3rd week of August and the 5th wave completed today. It wouldn't surprise me to see the share price drop back to support at circa 60p, but I'm only guessing. | papillon
17/11/2021 13:18 | Steve7317 Nov '21 - 11:05 - 1664 of 1668 0 1 0 So what has caused that sudden drop..? Pity I don't have any spare cash...!! >>>>> Looking at the charts in the header of the top 5 holdings I'm not surprised at today's fall as for the last 2, or 3, days it's been all black candlesticks. | papillon
17/11/2021 13:04 | I agree that the premium is at ridiculous levels, so I have sold some this morning and recycled into YCA which is trading around par to NAV. The first couple of small tranches didn't move the price. But then it dipped. So, my last trade was in the 60s. | 7kiwi
17/11/2021 12:07 | Luckily sold some last week and nearly bought them all back. Didn't.intend the trade as I wanted to buy more Cameco or oilies. Real money will not be made trading GCL compared with holding on | dogberry202000
17/11/2021 11:58 | It does look as if the price was raised for the recent issue as RNS'd yesterday... obviously not their friends..!! | steve73
17/11/2021 11:30 | From a quick glance at the chart data, it looks like there was 2 sells of circa 35K shares that seemed to coincide with the drop. Just goes to show how illiquid GCL is when £50K worth of sells knocks about £5M off the market cap. | bpdon
17/11/2021 11:05 | So what has caused that sudden drop..? Pity I don't have any spare cash...!! | steve73
17/11/2021 11:02 | Yup the premium has become ridiculous and we are well overdue a decent pull back on GCL - looks like we have that kicking in today. | bpdon
16/11/2021 21:03 | TER of 3.9% and a 20% premium!!This is not a great way forward. Better buying one of the US quoted miners eg EFR or DML | tonsil

16/11/2021 19:46 | Blimey, another 825K new shares at 72.5p. Not only above NAV, but also above today's close. Somebody's desperate to get into the Uranium story. | 7kiwi
12/11/2021 07:56 | Kazatomprom signs two contracts with the Chinese to supply Uranium. Quantities and prices not disclosed. If this is the start of the long term contracting cycle, then it's very bullish. I saw an interview with Grant Isaacs (CFO of Cameco) the other day when he said "contracting begets contracting". It's not really surprising that China is first out of the blocks. Iirc, it was China that catalysed that last big bull run in 2006/7. Could possibly be the mechanism by which the new storage facility, announced a couple of months ago, is filled. | 7kiwi
12/11/2021 01:29 | The Independent: France to build new nuclear reactors to meet climate goals.https://www.in | zcaprd7
10/11/2021 18:01 | This is bullish for Uranium in that it might delay or restrict new supply. Not so good for the miners in the Western part of the Athabasca Basin, like Nexgen and Fission. Although difficult to tell how serious this might become. | 7kiwi
10/11/2021 16:21 | More new shares issued. At a premium again. 71p. Wow. | 7kiwi
08/11/2021 21:35 | Good to see all 5 top holdings move up strongly today. Looks like the managers know what they are doing. | 7kiwi
08/11/2021 07:53 | RR's SMR consortium close to funding project...https://ca | goodgrief
06/11/2021 09:10 | Yes @kiwi, new high for this bull run. Last time the GCL share price was this high was in 2012. Back then the discount was more in-line with the commodity IT sector (10-15%). Something changed with GCL in 2017/2018 when it ground up to a premium and it has pretty much persisted ever since. | bpdon
05/11/2021 21:50 | I think that's another ATH close today. And despite an increase in NAV, there's still a big premium | 7kiwi
05/11/2021 15:37 | Now the Millennials and Gen-Z getting into the nuclear story. And video: Heaven knows what happens when they start investing in Uranium. | 7kiwi
04/11/2021 21:31 | Similar article in Shares magazine as per Telegraph last w/e re. COP26 stock picks in the Telegraph. | goodgrief
04/11/2021 20:28 | QuePassa. The rights have value but will also be dilutive to NAV/PS. I assume the fully diluted NAV number in the announcements is inclusive of the rights. Current calc is 5 shares at 65.5p (327.5p) plus 1 share at 37.84 is 365.34p for 6 effective shares post rights. Or 60.89ps vs NAV of 55.10ps | kinbasket
04/11/2021 11:30 | I was building a basket of miners from end December 18. and started adding to GCL due to the difficulty in getting full exposure across the space as you mentioned. It's been my 3rd best performer behind UUUU & NXE. Regardless of NAV / fees it's the best / easiest way to get access to the U bull for UK investors imo | 1solon |
