Thinking the distribution centres in Ireland and Spain opening this month will solve that one (helping the group be ready for the peak trading period). Shows management were on the ball which is good to see.

Happy with that, looks like a decent acquisition and the post Brexit challenges were always going to materialise as many businesses are now experiencing.

Trading Update

- UK revenue returned to growth during July and August 2021
- Slower European revenue impacted by post-Brexit challenges
- New distribution centres in Ireland and Spain on track to open in September 2021
- Trading remains in-line with the Board's expectation

Acquisitions

- Contracts exchanged for acquisition of AV Distribution Ltd, to complete in Q3 FY22
- 'AV.com' domain name acquired separately
- Aggregate consideration £9.2m* represents a combined adjusted EBITDA multiple of 7.1x
- AV.com to launch by Q4 FY22, selling Home Audio and Visual equipment
*- on a cash free, debt free basis and assuming normalised levels of working capital

Only 504 shares sold all day until the end of the day UT of another 500. Just over 6000 bought during the day. Yet the share price is marked down 20p just after 4 p.m.. Odd in the extreme. Perhaps it will correct in the morning.

AGM statement on Thursday could see the shares move 20% either way if good trading is continuing or lockdown means slower trade. Markets expecting a slow down so the risk is on the upside.

5 months into the year AGM statement will update the market whether there has been any slowdown in sales post lockdown. Analysts are forecasting lower profits so there could be a pleasant surprise and the shares are lowly rated for such a growth story.

Pretty sure that is the statement issued with the Annual Results issued on June 22nd

Very upbeat Chairman`s statement in the annual report issued today. Excellent sales in 1st quarter. Analysts forecasting lower profits likely to be proved wrong.

been absolutely murdered on BOTB but I think G4M have been far more sensible with forecasts and theyve already said they trading better than expected

The share price tells the story. Lots of people in York either employed or involved. They are free to buy and sell the shares. Brokers forecasting lower profits this year but I think sales are still booming.

True that last year they gave an update around this time but that was because of exceptional trading. Not sure that will apply this time so personally will not be surprised to have to wait until AGM.

We should be due the Q1 trading update any day, it should give a much better insight on what to expect for FY22. Forecasts for EPS to fall by 50% feel overly pessimistic to me…
