15/7/2015 09:26 | I live near York and called in to the showroom. I am not actively into music , but the range of instruments and equipment is very comprehensive catering for all price ranges from quality instruments for beginners to serious performers. It is clearly a destination store with the facility to try out instruments , which can't be done with Amazon or EBAY I think.I don't see them as major competition. As for HMV there is no resemblance between HMV and GEAR - GEAR know exactly the market they are targeting while HMV had no idea. I don't know how well they will perform in their new stores and they need to drive customers to them via the website I think.A lot of money has been spent on the website and I think it shows. I have no connection with GEAR other than owning a few shares , and I won't be buying more till I see some results. GAN | ganthorpe
12/7/2015 14:36 | Read the article in the mail. Has raised some slight interest. But reminds me a wee bit of HMV. With Amazon and eBay very difficult to penetrate the market. | ch4p_85
