26/7/2007 06:46 | Gold got mugged yesterday: GLD : $66.90 -0.57 Open: 67.19 High: 67.22 Low: $66.35 Volume: 7,530,600 / Pct.: -0.84% GDX : $41.72 -0.68 Open: 41.89 High: 41.99 Low: $40.76 Volume: 2,414,900 / Pct.: -1.60% Ratio : x.xx -x.xx HUI : 358.58 Change: -6.13 Open: 364.71 High: 364.71 Low: 349.96 / Percent Change: -1.68% Here's why- a sharp bounce in the Dollar Was DX-80 the low for the dollar, or just a temporary bounce-point? I reckon the latter, but let's see how many days the dollar holds up What I don't like is : that big selling volume in the GDX, and the declining GDX/GLD ratio. A positive thing was the sizeable bounce in the HUI, which closed down -6.13 (at 358.58) after being down a huge -14.75 : (at 349.96). | energyi

15/7/2007 23:05 | Gold shares (HUI)-to- Gold Ratio: I think this chart gives some good indications of breakouts and turning points: INTERPRETATION: ...it certainly looks like Gold shares are set for an important breakout. (Look at the SLO stochastics at the bottom, it hit 80, where we have seen breaks previously. Out of three prior times, it failed only once- 1 year ago, and this try looks better than that one. ) And Gold Stock/HUI normally lead Gold, dragging it higher. Looks like the Slingshot action is happening early, during the summer this time! (as I suggested on several CW Radio podcasts) = = = MORE comments like this/ here: | energyi

30/5/2007 18:51 | Actually, today's low may, just may, be important Let's see how the volume behaves out of it The GDX-to-SPX ratio could be bottoming also | energyi
16/5/2007 17:40 | Volume on this drop (so far) is higher than I would like, but not alarming RATIO : HUI / Gold : $322.94 / $661.20 = 48.84%, ...and this looks like a key level of support for the ratio Many signs showing oversold levels, with rally due very soon. Could we reach the nexty key support level of $648-ish for Gold? STILL WAITING to put most of that cash to work | energyi
15/5/2007 02:59 | If the Slingshot is going to work We are now at a good level ($666) for it to start | energyi
11/5/2007 01:24 | Slingshot update = Not ideal, but still possible ((See above for volume -ABX's volume was light)) Yesterday's move down was within acceptable limits. what i did not like was the light volume on the way up, and yesterday's downward volume was more than i wanted to see. The good news is the volume on this pullback did not accelerate, so the potential for a sharp "slingshot upwards" remains intact. But I dont want to see the slide go beyond early next week | energyi
08/5/2007 17:25 | NEARLY ON ANOTHER BUY SIGNAL - a few days more only? GDX/GLD chart: | energyi
27/4/2007 04:44 | I am not worried about Gold or Gold shares here. I note that it has been brought down to support, and is geeting oversold Isnt this just the slingshot that we have been waiting for? | energyi
10/1/2007 04:08 | Above chart was only partly right... GDX rose to the next level, $42- before falling back | energyi
25/11/2006 08:08 | IMPORTANT Resistance level. I just noticed that the gold shares (GDX) have bounced back to an important level For the Bull's sake, it needs to power through here on big volume next week. If it fails to do so, Gold shares may begin a renewed slide. Yesterday was a "half day", so perhaps Friday's volume was not so meaningful, but I would like to see more. I did some significant selling/ profit-taking yesterday. Nest week's action will tell if I should have done more | energyi
19/10/2006 16:13 | I am bullish-but it wont be straight up In fact, looks like we have some opening gaps up, including one today so gold may have to retrace before moving higher there's strong resistance at $600, and that may prove a real challenge just now | energyi
