If I have possibly not been clear on the point I am trying to make...In the direct aftermath of riots in 2006 we had a supposed signed 'Phulbari Agreement' and the apparent statement Baxtea pointed out by Hasina but not directly quoted in her exact words. We then had contradicting views on this from the government before (and since) that suggest that this is not and never has been a priority of Hasina or the awami league, much to the distress of Anu Muhammad and the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports. Who incidentally, along with certain Bangla press, would have you believe otherwise. If she did actually say that statement, it defused a situation temporarily and as Baxtea says, she may now regret it, but important to note it certainly couldnt be construed as an 'election pledge'

Try & split hairs & spin all you want. You claimed she never said it and it was nonsense. It was a political statement & has effected her decision on coal mining since. Hence why we are still where we are.

It’s obvious you have done very little research here & you are a little embarrassed ive caught you out but don’t worry. Deflate your ego & apologise & thay will be the end of it.

I’ll give you the last word then filter you as it is boring conversing with you now

You've proved nothing. I had a problem with what you regarded as an election pledge, while at the time of the election all the emphasis was on a coal policy finalisation from awami league contradicting this post root statement. It may seem pedantic, but the context of her election gives a crucial insight to the will of the people in terms of coal, power and energy issues.

10years Baxtea since I’ve seen so much volume moving about in gcm I can remember this happening at 70p for a week or so then it moved to £2 plus gradually over next few month. Hoping same happening before a nice rise (fingers crossed)

Sheikh Hasina visited Phulbari in Dinajpur on September 4, 2006, and announced that she would resist any move to carry out open-pit mine there or elsewhere in the country.

Yes, times have changed since then so don’t give it the bigun about old article

Merely showing this in my defence after clowns who think they know this project really dont
