I am assuming GBG and EXPN are on a good run as the number of online transactions are increasing due to the virus. We will soon know the GBG trading statement due around the 24th of this month.

Maybe my memory is playing tricks! I remember thinking this is why they've stopped the divi for the time being.

EDIT: I've checked the annual report. It was a pay freeze for all staff and all directors - not a 10% cut.

"Salary In the light of Covid-19, the salaries of the Executive Directors have not been increased in line with the Group-wide pay freeze.
Pay across the company will be kept under review as the situation unfolds.
Benefits. There will be no change to the benefits for the Executive Directors in the year commencing 1 April 2020.
Annual Bonus. In the light of Covid-19 and the uncertainty of the outlook, no targets have yet been set. The Committee will keep this under
review and later in the year will consider targets and how the annual bonus for Executive Directors may operate during FY21."

I have not seen any RNS from GBG stating thy have used the furlough scheme or that they have trimmed senior management pay.

IIRC the Company put some staff on furlough and trimmed senior managers pay and removed the dividend in an act of solidarity. Restoring the dividend will probably involve restoring staff and managers' salaries in full. "We're all in it together".

It would be great if they did reinstate the dividend. The company has
planty of cash.

Anticipation of the announcement?

I'm hoping this one will be a good one, with the restoration of the dividend.

FWIW. I know this is pretty weird but last year about this time there was a sizable step change in the closing price with no explanation. Unusual but I guess the lockdown is getting through to me.
