Gattaca is shaping up for a break-out next 12 months. Today the firm handily beat our FY19 adjusted PBT (B4 £10.9m) and net debt (B4 £38.5m) expectations, coming in at c. £11.3m (ED est.) and £25.0m respectively. Leading us to upgrade the valuation from 185p to 200p/share.

Yes - i saw that. The same people as caused the big Staffline rise yesterday.

All good - especially if you have shares in the two companies concerned

I see Hrnet / Singapore also now up to 5.53% in addition to Morson's stake building.
strategic investment or pursuing the co maybe and giving Morson something to think about
GATC capped at around 37 million GBP ; curious has to what kind of mkt value Morson might command today - they were bought out for just over 20 million GBP back in 2012
So would Morson be looking to merge or takeover if either, know what would be preferred.
Hrnet from what i could quickly make out looked much much bigger and Asia focused of course ; interesting situ and trading update due from GATC a week today.

Thanks Spooky. It's annoying they don't put the previous holding on the form. I see they've increased from 7.7% a year ago to 11.1% now.

They picked up the majority of those a year ago WJ and yes a takeover has been on the cards ever since IMO.

That's interesting. The company which bought Morson has taken an 11% stake. Takeover anyone?

Rocketing this week, they are in breakout territory, over 200 in short time hopefully.

Seem very conservative forecasts both on profit and debt but I guess GATC need to get back to under promising and over delivering. If they can and on any reasonable valuation these would be 200p+

Agreed : encouraging progress in H1 report: revs +6%, EBITDA +11%, EPS +12% and importantly debt down by a chunky £8.4m. Board 'confident' for FY.

I thought the results were pretty good too. If they keep heading in the right direction the price has to respond at some point surely? The only thing I noticed was that they didn't make any mention of their previous dealings in Iran and whether or not that would cost them any money. I guess that could be a good thing as it may mean they are not too worried by it.

Wow. Decent set of results, with sizeable debt reduction and confirmation of on track for a P/E rating of 5 and share price drops...

"These are the two possibilities"

you may or may not grasp the subtleties of this very useful phrase.

I suppose it's possible the US Government prevents US companies from using them.

this may or may not potentially be a big issue in my view.

one can but wonder to oneself how this may or may not impact on future business and reputation.
