Afgas are still vitally important to gasol but after bankrolling gasol for a while now and effectively keeping them afloat Gasol no longer need Afgas to fund them. I suspect the loan from STSA is not cash but in exchange for services ,so in effect
a credit facility.Lets not forget gasol have drawn down 20 million of a 100 million loan facility.Could next news be harbour ready for floating vessel.?

Got rid of the Afgas loan .They now have a loan with one of the largest company's in the world in their particular expertise that is about to supply them with a floating re gasification vessel and then fill that vessel with LPG.

This was tipped last week by Joanne Hart in Midas Extra Tips sheet. As you know she is very good.

I cant copy whole article from Midas coz its copyrighted but extracts

MIDAS EXTRA SHARE TIPS: Liquified gas importer's project plan could have good mileage

By Joanne Hart

Gasol is a small company with big ambitions. Involved in providing cheaper fuel to West African countries, the share price has doubled from 11p to 22p in the past three months and brokers believe it will double again before the end of the year.

Midas verdict: Gasol shares are definitively not for widows and orphans. For adventurous investors, however, the stock could prove highly rewarding.

There is an urgent need for gas in West Africa, Gasols solution will be at least 25 per cent cheaper than current alternatives and the company has already made significant steps in the right direction. Coopers presence as a majority shareholder and strategic adviser to the board is a further comfort. At 22p, the shares look attractive.

that funding is not priced in here

in 2008-2010 Edison (research paid for by GAS...) they gave a 13p nav in old money ... thats 650p in new money..... with the massive caveat of getting project finance to pay for GAS's contribution as partner in any of their capital projects....

well that 100 mill shows they have that funding agreed....

Despite the sinister moves and dark arts practised by the MM's, this is more likely just down to a moderately large holder selling a large chunk. In what is essentially an automated process, if supply outstrips demand, the price goes down.

More likely someone has caught up with events and decided that they are happy taking the loss now.

End of the financial year coming up and some people may need to show some losses before the end of FY to minimise their tax liabilities.

Probably hoping they can buy in again on a T+20......

Funny, Afren issued senior secured notes at 10.25% exactly a year ago.

10% interest might sound a lot in the current climate, but actually looks rather good considering GAS's position.
