13/12/2005 08:59 | GGK website still indicates results due on 22nd December. I think this will move very quickly, hopefully up. A small buy at 1.8p this morning moved the bid up to 1.6p. I'm expecting very positive figures based on their aquisitions over the year and the general expansion and accessibility of the gaming market. Unlike PartyGaming, these are not threatened by U.S. laws but have a tangible base of some 5000 establishments in the UK & growing. I could see some consolidation over the next 12 months as the new lottery act comes into force in 2007. | marine boy
08/12/2005 17:04 | I would not be suprised to see another tick up on the bid tomorrow. Can't believe these are still under 2p. Expect a gradual pick up to results day in two weeks. | marine boy

04/12/2005 09:26 | from sundaytimes - 04/12/05. what i don't understand is that private equity firms are considering bidding for the right to run national lottery which sparked by the stable cashflows generated by the lottery's portfolio of games. there is a direct correlation between cash flow generation and ggk's income stream. strange. i am a holder of ggk dyor Private equity firms eye lottery Mark Kleinman A GROUP of leading British private-equity firms is considering muscling in on the bidding for the right to run the national lottery. The move could threaten Camelot's chances of retaining the licence it has held since 1994. Candover, Cinven, CVC and Permira are all understood to have requested information from the National Lottery Commission (NLC), the industry regulator, and its adviser, NM Rothschild, about the terms of the new licence, which begins in 2009. The interest of private-equity groups is likely to have been sparked by the stable cashflows generated by the lottery's portfolio of games and the NLC's decision to extend the licence period from seven years to ten. While firms like Candover and CVC would be unable to bid on their own, there would be no shortage of interested gaming and lottery operators with whom they could form partnerships. Ladbrokes is understood to be working with the Greek company Intralot to evaluate a possible bid. Tattersall's, the Australian group, Italian group Lottomatica, and Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, which lost out in the last bidding competition in 2000, are all thought likely to enter the fray. Although the next licence period does not begin until 2009, the NLC is expected to choose a winner in May 2007. Camelot's chances could also be undermined if Dianne Thompson, the chief executive, leaves, as is rumoured, to head the organising committee for the 2012 Olympics. | demark
28/11/2005 08:43 | Has the strategic purchase of Kelly's Eye been overlooked by the smaller investor? In May this year, Kelly's Eye was purchased for £1,347,200 of which £750,000 was cash & the remaining £597,200 by issuing 24,576,132 shares at 2.42p. Kelly's Eye had revenues of over £2m and an operating profit of over £200,000 for year ended Dec 2004. This will all add to the bottom line figures of GGK and then there's Gemini Club Supplies & Independent Leisure Supplies figures to add on too. Perhaps this would explain the delayed results. | marine boy
24/11/2005 11:16 | Well, after a short lived burst of enthusiasm, the current spread at 1.4p - 1.75p has certainly killed off the trading. | marine boy
