The permit should help provide room for more efficient working.

Excellent news. Wouldn't expect production to return to full pelt until the 3rd quarter as they make the necessary changes needed. But the big worry is out of the way for now. Think the shares will move up post updated resource statement. Then we should get a placing to fund underground mining for which there should be far fewer planning issues. Looking to markedly increase my holding nearer the time once we get the pre-feasability report. In the meantime Kenglo will have to convert their loan into new shares at 10c I believe.

Just read the news as pc went off early and on late - brilliant.

Now hopefully a new broker or two will initiate coverage on our little GAL.

r&j than's a really good point. Always seems a bargin at under Kenglo's conversion price .... and they didn't buy to make a few pence.

Nat
Far more than 400k oz is possible, remember the open pit has not been taken to the full depth of the original resource estimate so add the depth extentions from drilling and the sums should be more.
Also for a 50koz/yr underground mine you'd be targetting starting with 10+ years of life. I'd be surprise from all the drilling results already out if the resource isn't well in excess of 500k.

Seems a strange time to sell but buyers need sellers!

6 rigs should be adding to/upgrading resources all the time.

Kenglo bought a quarter of the company for 6.5p and that should be the minimum price

I can't believe this company is still only valued at £11 million and this news has investors running for the door. As I said yesterday I think we'll be hanging round this price for some time. Drilling results to come in the spring with resource upgrades I shan't be going anywhere soon. 400K ounces at £100 per oz in the ground is £40 million not £10m. AIMHO GLA

Someone in the planning dept could make a fortune insider trading. (theoretically of course. I'm sure our public servants would never do such things)

Nat Hart, you've got your exchange rate wrong, 7.5c is just under 5p.

The permits are very welcome - should help relieve the bottleneck.

I understand it was the DOENI made it public on their website before they told the company officially and that meant the company had to act quickly to avoid disclosure rules being breached.

Hey .. Who cares. Canada is trading at 7.5c and that translates as a tad under 6P. I'll be happy with that for tomorrow. GLA

re, ttnyrp - 23 Feb'12 - 17:20 - 1802 of 1812, I wonder, did your alertness and subsequent report here cause the company to issue a 6pm rns?

Nat - yup here's hoping. I can't see them staying down here for long. you'd have thought, with this risk now removed, the upcoming drilling results coming through, and the underground mining study in a few months time, the share price should get up to and through September highs pretty sharpish

georgethefourth ..... 7 cents Canadian is 5.43p .... They're cheaper here, but let's hope that's not the case for much longer. Might pick up a few myself in the morning depending on opening price. Bet our resident seller is bit miffed and whoever sold the million at 3.875 will definitely be sad tonight.

Excellent news. I'm surprised the price hasn't risen more in Canada. I suppose it's usually our price that leads and i expect to see a decent mark up tomorrow morning here. If I had funds I'd be buying now on the tsx...

Back in business then and with gold at £1138 per troy oz and silver over £20 per oz we could see some decent cash flow soon. Well done Roland; well done Galantas; well done everyone for hanging in there. Now where are those drilling results and the reserves update?

ttnyrp ... I'll join you. Cheers.
