22/5/2007 21:03 | Hi Cassandra2, it's easy enough to read back through the RNSs. You'd see that 2 or 3 months ago GLA announced the sale of their remaining Northern Dynasty stake. This was the why I personally came back into GLA, I was always wary about the Alaskan project ever getting the go-ahead in the face of so much legal challenge and pro-environment lobbying. I'm sure GLA will do something emminently sensible with their cash now. | asmagliocco
22/5/2007 20:55 | AFAIAA, GLA has ~£80m cash, 2.95m shares in Quadra Mining (listed on TSX) and 20.3m shares in UraMin. As a recent holder, I don't know what the pebble project is/was. rgds lowerSharpnose | lowersharpnose

21/5/2007 18:21 | URAMIN IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH CNNC China shops for foreign uranium properties as possible domestic shortage looms The possibility of domestic uranium shortages has the China National Nuclear Corp., the nation's largest nuclear power plant builder, in discussions with numerous foreign uranium explorationists. Author: Dorothy Kosich Posted: Monday , 21 May 2007 RENO, NV - China's largest nuclear power plant builder said it is in discussions with companies in Australia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia because of a potential domestic uranium shortage. The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that London-based UraMin (AIM, TSX: UMN) has been negotiating with China National Nuclear Corp. (CNNC). Lui Xuehong, Vice President of the CNNC's overseas uranium exploration unit, told the Power & Alternative Energy Summit that discussions are also ongoing with companies in Canada, Niger and Algeria. Liu specifically referred to UraMin's "good assets in Africa," which include acquired or pending mineral rights in Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Chad and the Central African Republic. "We will participate in overseas exploration of uranium by buying mining rights of deposits or taking a stake in a particular project," Liu told the conference. Shanghai Daily reported that China needs to add two reactors a year to meet its target of generating 4% of its power from nuclear plants by 2020. China National Nuclear plans to spend US$52 billion to build domestic reactors by 2020. | grgkecer

21/5/2007 08:57 | UMN is showing further strength after confirmation that the Chinese National Nuclear Corp (CNNC) is in talks with UMN. CNNC reckon UMN have very good assets in Africa. This must be good news for GLA share price | papillon
15/5/2007 15:45 | Wiganer, Sobered up yet? Pleased to see the IMY offer going unconditional. I've built up a 6.5% stake in the warrants, and was starting to get concerned that RAB might try and spoil the party. Just need to get out of my Quadra shares at a decent price. Hopefully IHGP, where I've also got a notifiable stake, is another one I need to come right...lol... tiltonboy | tiltonboy

15/5/2007 15:28 | InterMoly announced today that the recommended Offers by Quadra for the entire issued and to be issued share capital and traded warrants of the company have been declared unconditional in all respects. In accordance with its irrevocable undertaking, Galahad has accepted the Offers in respect of 106,666,700 InterMoly ordinary shares (representing approximately 78 % of the InterMoly shares) and 3,333,350 InterMoly traded warrants (representing approximately 25% of the InterMoly warrants). Galahad is expecting to receive 2,978,558 Quadra shares (representing approximately 5.5% of the issued share capital of Quadra) on or before 1 June 2007. 08/5/2007 11:31 | tony - interesting. i reckon that now the trade information is widely available to Joe Public the MMs go out of their way to disguise trades by manipulating the spread and delaying as many trades as they can. 07/5/2007 22:49 | UMN closed in Canada strongly. Equivalent price > £3.20. Uranium also finished strongly on 1st day of trading on NYMEX. Closed at $140. UMN is an investment that GLA will keep. | papillon
05/5/2007 08:54 | There is still a potential further gain from the first NDM sale: On 26 January 2007, Galahad entered into an agreement to sell a 10.3% stake in NDM to QIT-Fer Et Titane Inc, an affiliate of Rio Tinto plc (Rio Tinto), for C$94m (#40.3m). The sale price was equivalent to C$10 per share. This sale was completed on 6 February 2007. Rio Tinto has agreed in certain circumstances to pay incremental consideration to Galahad. If prior to 31 December 2008, Rio Tinto resells the NDM shares purchased from Galahad in acceptance of an offer to acquire all outstanding shares of NDM, it will pay Galahad half of the realised profit. If prior to 31 December 2008, Rio Tinto purchases additional shares in NDM at a price greater than C$10 per share from a third party other than NDM, Rio Tinto will pay to Galahad an amount equal to the price per share paid in such purchase minus C$10 (to a maximum of C$2 per share) multiplied by the lesser of the number of shares so purchased from the third party or 9,400,000 shares (up to a cumulative aggregate of C$18.8 m for all such purchases). The current price of NDM is C$13.8, so any qualifying purchase at or above this price would trigger the payment of an extra C$2 per share on the corresponding number of shares. | grgkecer
