No quite right different companies, but gdl spun from gdg,
with same boss, that is all.

I have said what I think so will leave it to the holders to
enjoy.

Good luck all.

To be fair, was GDL ftse 250? Did it have an approved field development plan? Did it have substantial financial options? Was it in a strong sustainable production?

I'm not asking in a sarky way, genuinely curious. It may be some same management but this seems like a completely different ball game to be comparing the two.

To be fair, if I said to you on every share sell because it'll probably go down, 9 times out of 10 it will.

However, many of these will go up before they go down. Case in point I expect this to bag today. So jaknife would be wrong today, but maybe right in 2 weeks.

All a matter of timing.

Regarding drilling you mention in the article, gdl do this for
them another company the boss controlled, go over to the gdl thread
and see what happened there. GDL were drilling and had record number of
drilling work but still delisted it.

From julyVSA Capital Analyst note summary - 98p tgt price8 Jul '19G3 Exploration#: Refocusing on Core ExpertiseHaving successfully brought blocks GSS and GCZ into commercial production in 2010 and with gross sales of 5.7BCF delivering net profit of US$10.3m achieved in 2018 G3 Exploration (G3E LN) is now well placed to refocus on its core expertise of CBM development and exploration. G3E previously announced its intention to spin out the producing assets via a dividend in specie pending a trade sale or IPO. Currently held for sale at a value of US$390m we see this as the primary catalyst for the shares as this will enable repayment of outstanding debt as well as providing development capital for the remaining core development blocks.Accelerated Programme to Near Term ProductionG3E's core asset base after the dividend in specie will be the remaining six blocks which like GSS and GCZ are partnered with CNOOC and PetroChina under long standing and attractive PSCs. The near term focus is likely to be on blocks GGZ and GSN, the latter of which is adjacent to the currently producing blocks. With a recapitalisation achievable through the sale of the producing assets we believe that commercial production could be achieved rapidly and we anticipate peak net production of 5.4BCF and 3.1BCf respectively from these development blocks indicating the potential for significant annual cashflow. G3E applies the LiFaBriC drilling technology, which enables a sustained period of peak production which means that at GGZ we anticipate at least five years of free cash flow in excess of US$25mpa.Broader CBM OpportunitiesAlthough the strategic rationale for CBM in China remains compelling given import dependency of over 40% for natural gas and an ongoing shift from coal for power generation which will see China's use of coal for primary energy consumption fall from over 60% in 2012 to less than a third by 2050, we see the potential for CBM opportunities beyond China for G3E.The company has committed to entering a new geography and we see opportunities in terms of gas to power projects in Africa as well as exploiting uneconomically mineable coal seams in jurisdictions such as the UK as possibilities. G3E's primary drilling technique involves no injection of chemicals and a minimal surface print meaning a limited environmental impact whilst producing natural gas; the key bridge fuel over the coming decades, in our view.Recommendation and Target PriceWe initiate coverage with a BUY recommendation and target price of 98p

All

I have exchanged posts before with Jaknife on differing
views, and in all fairness he was correct. Will probably be
correct again here, respect where respect is due.

Just be careful all.

@jaknife

Do you really believe a company that was ftse 250, with 98% ii shareholder ownership, producing assets and a tonne of proven resources is ever going to allow equity wipeout?

They have a plan that allows them all not to lose a huge amount of money

Let's watch them do it

This is the absolute wrong share to be thinking of private investors interests. Think of the bigger picture

G3 Exploration looks at reserve based loan to kick-start restructuring

2019-09-30 14:39:00
“The most advanced of these, the Guizhou exploration block (GGZ), is expected to commence test gas sales before the end of this year.”
G3 Exploration Ltd - G3 Exploration looks at reserve backed loan to kick-start restructuring

G3 Exploration PLC (LON:G3E) is examining a US$250mln reserve-based loan (RBL) as an option to refinance its balance sheet.

The China-focused gas group says this became an option recently following field development approval and an experienced bank has been appointed to move an RBL loan forward.

A US$250mln loan would enable G3 to pay off its inter-company debt and carry out the spin-off of production subsidiary Green Dragon Gas through a dividend in specie.

That would leave an exploration arm, where G3E has invested approximately US$270mln on its portfolio which it estimates has a 2P/mean value of over US$816mln.

“We are eager to focus on this portfolio and systematically migrate this portfolio into commercial production and thereafter farm-outs or sales,” said Randeep Grewal, chairman.

“Each of these transactions should provide shareholders with a dividend. Our current portfolio in China provides a solid five-year backlog of projects.

“The most advanced of these, the Guizhou exploration block (GGZ), is expected to commence test gas sales before the end of this year.”

Revenues for the half-year to June were US$11mln (US$13.7mln) with a net loss of US$7mln (US$6.3mln).

Than find another share you believe in, the RNS that came didn't seem to highlight your views but for all concerning parties including shareholders. I would read an RNS before slandering some company, maybe before we all make comments on the boards we should advice if we understood the news or not and than make statements, so everyone understands why you said it. Best wishes in your others portfolio
