As acuere says it focuses mainly on Pulsiv, Cambridge Raman and particularly on Alusid. Here's the snippet on Cambridge Raman:
"Promising companies in the portfolio include Cambridge Raman Imaging, whose high-speed lasers and advanced artificial intelligence create and analyse detailed digital images in near real-time. Initial applications are in medicine for diagnosing and monitoring tumours and other diseases in human cells."
There's also a new interview with the Alusid CEO which reiterates (1) an IPO this year and (2) they're working on "additional distribution agreements with other international partners" as well as the new Dutch agreement - he states "hopefully I'll be in a position to announce future distribution agreements in the near future": |
The Times piece is good publicity. It has one article where Neil outlines how they can help scientists commercial their inventions/discoveries. It uses Pulsiv and Cambridge Raman as examples, where they’ve brought in experienced board or provided additional funding. Then has an additional article highlighting Alusid and their progress. Alusid CEO praises the help Frontier given them and again mention of hoped for IPO.
I wouldn’t say the article would attract share buyers as such. For me it read more like a promotion of what Frontier can do for scientists hoping to commercialise. Certainly if I were a scientist and reading what Exscientia achieved under Fipps guidance, I would be giving Fipp a call. |

There are a few things to like about this announcement.
For me, Alusid always seem a bit too reliant on Topps Tiles. So nice to see another distributor in new markets coming on board. I think this makes the chance of IPO more positive.
This European news for Alusid was flagged up by Neil Crabb in the last results. So it’s nice to see these potential news hints coming to fruition.
And finally, it’s good to see Fipp actually RNSing some good news, rather than thinking that a post on LinkedIn in will suffice. |
Difficult to see what revenues FRONT generate but they have had significant commercial applications in a number of countries ...including UK. Hopefully will accelerate entry into new markets for Alusid.hTTps://www.front-materials.com/projects/ |
The share price performance is hugely annoying given the potential but so many small stocks have been hit. As for the options, bear in mind these are linked to share price and NAV growth so if they do not go up a lot then the options do not vest. |
Held these for over 2 years. Just seeing these drop daily recently wasn't good so I have bailed at a £7k loss. No point waiting for a dream to come true when in reality the shares are becoming worthless, had to bail. Pile in to ADVT instead! |
A lot of those share options went to junior staff to retain them and keep them motivated. It’s unfortunate market conditions are so poor just as the portfolio reaches maturity. Sales at these companies are progressing though |
Yes it will That is the problem We we’re told Allusid planned an iPO last year never happens and Zero news .We could mention several other flagged expectations game changing news but nothing of significance to create value apart from the director and friends gifted more shares for the fantastic value enhanced performance over the last few years £1.20 to 23.50p |

The total number of Ordinary Shares and voting rights in the Company is 68,898,207.
So market cap at 24p is £16.5m. |
Market Cap now £14.1m.
Cash at end June was £2.3m. £3.6m gross proceeds raised in November.
Recent Pulsiv fundraise put our stake their worth £10.9m.
So currently valued at less than Pulsiv stake and cash. In other words everything else in for free.
Seriously cheap - but then again I’ve thought that before and it got cheaper. |

Just looked through who benefited from the recent handout, and I was reassured that a large number of shares went to non board members and that it wasn’t a simple grab as many as you can from the senior board. I have faith in this ceo, he’s acted pretty responsibly compared to many of his piers.
My view is the market views Frontier the same as nearly every other ‘jam tomorrow’ AIM company. The only difference is this company is the real deal in my opinion - which is probably what every other shareholder thinks of every other jam tomorrow company! |
Pulsiv remains the principal reason for me to hold here. Fipp mc of £15m with Pulsiv in the books at £10.9m. If their products sell as well as they hope there really is plenty of potential upside.
Again Fipp inability to keep shareholders informed on their website is really poor. I was trying to see who the rebel shareholder may have been based on major shareholders list - but it hasn’t been updated since last May.
More positively, amongst a list of achievements this year, Deakin Bio mentioned this today.

The BoD are starting to upset larger shareholders. At yesterday’s AGM, over 18% voted against the resolution to approve directors remuneration. You very rarely see that sort of level of dissatisfaction. |
