The potential valuation of Pulsiv is frightening but if they go down the IPO route £1b initial valuation could be achievable,that̵7;s if a buyout doesn’t happen before.

I think many investors (including myself) will struggle to assess the portfolio frontier has accurately. Not many investors will have such a broad understanding of investments from biotech to consumer electronics etc. (especially when the investments are pioneering in their fields). Whilst this diversification I see as a positive and while Frontier try to address this with investor days whereby you can meet these companies - most investors here will probably invest based on one or two portfolio companies they really see potential with, and cross their fingers with the rest. My point here being that I’m inclined to believe, based on the previous success of Exscentia and the increasing momentum of Pulsiv and TVG, that this portfolio might be stronger than the market has priced

TVG is a great example of how one of Fipps investments could really reap dividends.

The Strep suis vaccine is just 1 of 9 projects being worked on by TVG. Not all will succeed of course but it’s worth looking at what a vaccine for pigs could be worth.

Worldwide there are roughly 1.5bn pigs born each year. The current process of treating them with antibiotics is quite costly so a vaccine treatment would be preferred.
So if say 80% of pigs were vaccinated, how much might TVG receive assuming they’re paid in royalties? Obviously I’ve no idea how much but at just 1p per vaccine that would be £12m a year.
FIPPs 17% stake in TVG is valued at £5.5m meaning TVG valued at £32.6m.
That valuation could seriously increase in coming years if this of any of the other projects come to fruition.

It’s the fact they’ve found a promising candidate that’s important.

“Further committed funding will test the candidate for safety and efficacy in pigs in early 2023. The commercial partner in China is currently scaling up production of the candidate vaccine with a view to beginning registration studies later in 2023.”

If successful it’s potentially a massive money spinner. China alone has a 450m pig population. Pigs for slaughter usually only live about 6 months. Cost of dealing with Streptococcus suis (antibiotics etc)in Germany is €1.3 per pig. I’ve no idea what TVG could get but even at very low pence per vaccine the numbers are huge.

TVG out with good news it’s a shame it’s tested on Rabbits. But 75% Efficacy in one of the several candidates looking very promising.FIPP 17% stake yet another potential valuable asset in the next 2/3 years

Good to see pulsiv getting a further £260k investment from Frontier today. Frontier obviously keen to keep level at 18.3%. This should really return to a premium to NAV again (90p plus) soon. 75p for frontier who consistently increase NAV at every results is obscene

A lot of superbly relevant investments for todays world. The CEO has undoubtedly had a lot of luck to have invested in an energy saving device pre energy crisis - as well as a covid vaccination pre pandemic! His investment in Exscentia is a remarkable example of his acumen.
From my perspective most of Frontiers hard work, in terms of time spent, has already been invested. The coming years will start to bear the fruit of all the intellectual property that has been accumulating - as we see at the results every year with the nav increasing. Whether the market takes more time and waits for the proof of the pudding, or whether the share prices starts moving sharply upwards in advance, who knows… Frontier is my largest single holding and I’m very comfortable here - especially in the knowledge Frontier have plenty of cash for their portfolio in the waiting. The past year has been very damaging for so many companies, yet Fromtier posted one of their best ever results despite the wider economy.

Agree, it’s easy to see that Fipps 18.3% stake in Pulsiv alone will be worth way in excess of the current £36m mkt cap.

Pulsiv will be attending major trade show Electronica in Munich next week.

“As one of the industry’s leading events, Electronica is the perfect platform to further showcase our truly game changing power electronics technology to a multitude of companies. With so many manufacturers seeking to optimise cost, improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption in a diverse range of applications, we’re excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate how Pulsiv can contribute to achieving those goals”.

On the back of the Ismosys presidents comments (they are also in attendance) of “game changer” and massive expectations and enthusiasm, this could generate significant business.

New Pulsiv agreement announced with Ismosys.

I like the quote from their president.

“Pulsiv is definitely a game changer and clearly possess a leading technology on the Power Conversion Arena. The expectations and enthusiasm at the Industry are massive.” ISMOsys President, Roberto Blanco

Frontier was trading at a premium to nav at the end of last year.

Now it’s trading at a discount to its 89p nav, despite the improved nav since then and good news flow.

I suspect it won’t be long before it will return to premium.

The CEO of Frontier ip is it’s 6th largest shareholder with 2.9m shares (5.43%).

This is a remarkable holding when looking at what other CEOs of similar companies own.

His aims are demonstrably aligned with shareholders and his track record is superb.

You don’t get frothy nonsense from this guy, he’s total focused on creating real value - not hype to get the share price up, like some others. The portfolio is well spread out, reducing risk and the portfolio holds some outstanding companies.

What makes frontier different is its unique approach of getting investments from a very early stage from university spin offs. This takes a lot of time - not money. Right now, in my opinion, this investment of time is on the cusp of huge rewards, the £5m increase of the pulsiv stake alone in the last financial year shows the remarkable potential of this £39m market cap company.

With the significant nav uplifts at every results, every year, this should be trading at a premium to nav.

Look at the greatest challenges facing us today:
Energy crisis - frontier has pulsiv greatly enhancing energy efficiency.
Covid - frontier has a covid vaccine which will need no modifications for new strains.
Lack of workers - field work robotics, robots which can pick the most challenging crop (soft fruit).

They have plenty of cash at the ready follow
Ing the exit of exscentia. A market cap of £37m is not reflective of the value on offer here.
