I presume they are still working with Bosch. It has been quiet on that front. No mention in the newsletter, the Pulsiv website has shown ‘coming soon’ for some time now. I’m still hopeful Pulsiv can match Exscientia success though.

Nice paragraph in todays RNS shows the sort of dramatic returns these investments can return.

“In total, the Group has sold a total of 782,400 Exscientia ADSs since 10 January 2022 for net proceeds of approximately £9.96 million generating an estimated realised gain for Frontier IP of £2.79 million in the financial year to 30 June 2022 and £0.31 million in the financial year to 30 June 2023. The original cost for these shares was less than £2,000.”

Frontier tend to exceed expectations at every results update. The ceo makes very little bluster often valuing investments very conservatively. He holds almost 3,000,000 shares which represents 5.43%. Very comfortable with his proven track record and significant personal stake in the business.

ohisay, good research, also Exscientia has recovered from a low of $6.56 to $11.30 last night and FIPP having taken money out at over $20 can maintain their stakes in these early stage funding rounds and have probably backed new things that we are yet to hear about. Good for any stock not to need money in these markets!!
Did you also notice their last Newsletter had a large article on GRAPHENE: THE WONDER MATERIAL FULFILLING ITS PROMISE it would not surprise me to hear more news in that area.

The more I read about Frontier the more I like it..The website is full of informstion on the many assets.I took a largish position yesterday. It looks at least 15 % undervalued..an undeserved casualty of the tech sell off.

Edinburgh-based Frontier IP (FIPP:68.5p), a technology investment company that provides commercialisation services to university spin-outs in return for ‘free equity’ stakes, has announced a £1.26mn funding round for Cambridge University spin-out, CamGraPhIC.

The company is developing graphene-based photonics technology for scalable optical transceivers, devices at the heart of high-speed data and telecommunications networks which could become a core enabling technology for next generation 5G networks and beyond.

Current versions of the technology have speeds of up to 100Gbps, or twice that achieved by equivalent technologies, and use 70 per cent less energy, too, so are cheaper to buy and run. Other uses include 6G mm wave, which has the potential to transmit data at speeds up to one terabyte per second, and networks that meet the demands of processor-intensive artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

Having raised £1.6mn of funding in the second half of 2021, proceeds from the new funding round will be used to complete fabrication and testing of the demonstration devices. CamGraPhIC has attracted interest from major multinationals in the chip and telecoms sectors, and plans to start customer testing in a matter of weeks. The company has also attracted the attention of Sir Michael Rake, the former chair of BT (BT.), who has invested in the company and will join its board later this year. Frontier invested £0.3mn in the latest funding round and retains a 20.8 per cent stake.

Good to see Frontier IP has leading technology in field work. One of many investments frontier have in remarkably relevant areas for todays changing world -which makes the recent share price decline all the more disconnected, especially since they have so much cash in the bank following the sale of exscentia. It appears x40 of the robots are already due to be dispatched to this one raspberry farm.

Looking through the portfolio of frontier ip - and nearly all investments seem to be extraordinarily well positioned in the current world we find ourselves in.

Interesting article in the Telegraph that the government might start giving farmers grants to purchase fruit picking machines as well as funding development. Would pose well for one if frontiers investment.

“is thought that machines could eventually replace human fruit-pickers, but current models are too clumsy and easily bruise soft fruits such as strawberries and raspberries.

Ministers are thought to be considering more investment in the technology, as well as grants for farmers to buy new machinery.”

And here’s the ST tip I forecast yesterday… should see this returning to previous highs soon. Excellent write up by Simon Thompson, should see strong gains on Monday. This really shouldn’t be less than 100p

Thanks B3. I couldn't find the results on Investigate or D Mail.
I need a site which gives me a list of the day's company results. An actual list not a forecast list.

· Fair value of portfolio rose by 37 per cent to £43.9 million at 31 December 2021 (30 June 2021: £32.0 million; 31 December 2020: £23.4 million)

As I said yesterday, would be good to know what the Brokers are now forecasting as I believe it was north of 120p fair value before these numbers.

Frontier IP. Always under promising and over delivering at every update. Results significantly ahead of management expectations, as usual. Interestingly, this conservative CEO states that “ the Group looks forward to announcing further positive news in the coming months.”

What a fantastic set of figures today. 14.54p earnings, £6m in the bank and still hold 75% of their Exscientia holding, the NAV is only based on Valuation events, ie the last funding round or a realisation, so while it matches the current market Cap, it does not have any of the potential upside or increase in value that is happening in Alusid, Cambridge Raman, Pulsiv, Nandi, The Vaccine Group or the rest of the portfolio, some of which we don't know about yet! Will be interesting to see what the Brokers do to their valuation targets.
