Deliveries to clients start at the end of August… |
All the pieces are falling in place surely some major sales news soon |
Tim Moore interview. Mentions some interesting names which I’m trying not to read anything into. And mentions we should hear some Pulsiv Horizon news in next couple of months. |
Website looks more professional. I note that they have a couple of new distribution agreements that weren’t there before. One in China and one in Japan. |
Impressive |
Pulsiv have just launched a very snazzy website - hxxps://www.pulsiv.com/ |
It greatly reduces the amount of energy that is wasted, so a significant jump on what out is on offer.particularly in relation to those new EU rules that I and others have mentioned. |
I thought the whole point of pulsiv was that it lowered electricity usage? Is this version a later product to be released? Lowering temperature might be interesting for some purposes, but it’s hardily a game changer? |
A reminder from Matthew White,CCO, on why this product is needed now.
The EU is making USB-C connectors and the USB-C Power delivery standard mandatory. From December this year, all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU must have a USB-C charging port. From the spring of 2026 the same applies to laptops. Any device with a power supply of up to 100W will need to use a USB-C connection. |
I think it's fair to say that Pulsiv has got considerable gains against others. For interest the CEO at Pulsiv expanded on this area for me, which may be of interest. "Cheaper USB-C chargers may deliver around the mid-80's efficiency, but we've made a fair comparison against the latest commercial products from the current market leaders. We still see up to 6% gains. While people always like a higher number, the true benefit is thermal performance. Higher efficiency = lower losses = less heat dissipation = more compact designs possible (size limited by the amount of heat they can handle) and improved reliability (component temperatures determine expected lifetime). The thermal images in our technical article tell the true story. We expect to help the adoption of in-wall USB-C which is hampered by safety/reliability concerns; consumers don't like a hot electrical item being wired into their wall, particularly if there's a risk that it will need replacing regularly. |
Thanks Ohisay, hasn't seen it, much appreciated |
Did anyone ever post this from a few months ago ? |
“ efficiency gains of 0.7% at full load”
- I thought these designs had huge efficiency gains of old designs?? |
As I said before, I don't think we will hear anything on sales, they'll keep that very close to their chest! |
Like I was told news on the USB final signed off designs.I was hoping for a small mention of sorts on potential scale up sales |
So, much as expected, but nevertheless extremely positive in a building picture.Pulsiv Limited, the Cambridge (UK) innovator of power electronics technology, announce the release of the world's most efficient* 65W USB-C GaN optimised reference design developed to address the complex challenges associated with thermal performance in power supplies. This ground-breaking and highly anticipated development is set to revolutionize the USB-C fast charging space by offering a unique combination of features & benefits not seen in other designs. The PSV-RDAD-65USB reference design combines Pulsiv OSMIUM technology with an industry standard QR Flyback and highly optimized, ultra-compact magnetics. It represents the first in a series of designs aimed at pushing the boundaries of power conversion by drastically lowering operating temperatures, minimizing losses, and reducing size to create a sustainable platform for the USB-C standard.Pulsiv's Chief Product Officer, Dr Tim Moore has been managing the development of this design and comments: "Our mantra has always been focused on developing solutions that "do more while using less" and this design demonstrates how Pulsiv OSMIUM technology can deliver fast charging without the associated complexity of managing high temperatures. The demand for more power and faster charging of cordless products is rapidly increasing which impacts everything from mobile phones to power tools. This means more power is needed in a small form factor which is even more critical when developing in-wall/desk solutions which are sensitive to heat. With 30% lower component temperatures, no inrush current, and high efficiency, we enable designs to become safer, smaller, and be more reliable. |
Well I’ve had two online conversations this year with Pulsiv and the finishing comment on both occasions was an Extremely exciting year ahead |
If you look at Pulsiv's schedule for release of reference designs, it has three lined up to be released in Q2 of this year, according to the website. So, it could well be one or more of those that we will hear on. Additionally, the last important release was announced in conjunction with partners Innoscience and Frenetic, so that would explain a specific date being flagged for this release. It could well be with another partner or one or both of the aforementioned again. |
Lets see what tomorrow brings - I don't think it'll materially affect FIPP share price short term....
but if its a product release date/improved etc then why wait until tomorrow and not just make the announcement, unless it needs to be tied into an agreement elsewhere with another company.... |
Their linked in page is probably more for clients than investors, so I’d bet it’s some kind of new/improved product or product release date |
Another alternate would be news on Pulsiv Horizon, their solar panel efficiency improver. On their website this has been labelled as Coming Soon for a while now. |
Have to agree with Aqc, you don't tend to get sales news from these companies unless it's something seriously big and I doubt that would be flagged in advance. I also feel it will be something on the design side or in that area. I'm still anticipating a raise from Pulsiv which it'll need to really drive home it's advantage. |
Since Octopus got to 9% last Tuesday , over 1.5m Frontier shares have traded , or 2.5% of the issued capital , so we could be due another holdings RNS very imminently ? The NAV was 84.2p at end December , and since then we seem to have gained rather than lost momentum within the portfolio companies . |
I guess most people would think Pulsiv is not a publicly traded company… Anyway, I don’t think it will be big news. I suspect it will be that a new design is released for sale, or something like that… if it was proper big news they wouldn’t be talking about it before they release it… just my opinion. Hope I’m wrong! |
Well with some of the major electronics distributions manufacturers already partnered up it looks good . But you could say with Frontier 20% ish stake why if we’re on the cusp of something major are those a lot more inside not buying Frontier at these levels |
