15/4/2008 11:07 | Spights Did you mention other nominee accounts have paid out on the 10th, it sounds like a cop out to me. I have e-mailed Halifax complaining and expect to get the same response very poor service IMO. | ps0u3165
15/4/2008 09:55 | Interactive Investor Thank you for your contact yesterday via our Live chat service. I have attempted to contact you by telephone on the only number we hold on our records ............. however, when I called this today at 9.30am there was no reply only a bleeping signal without any commentary inviting me to leave a message. As I am unable to speak to you directly I will address your concerns in this email. I have also sent you this information by letter. I am sorry that you have had to complain and for the inconvenience caused. I understand your complaint relates to the recent Corporate Action event for your Freedon4.Com shares, which was by the method of a Tender Offer. As your shares are held in a Nominee account, we are reliant upon the company Registrar to provide us with details of information or send us entitlements or cash balances. As a Nominee shareholder, you would not follow the same timetable as if your shares were represented by a share certificate. We confirmed on our website that payment for the Free4.Com Tender Offer event would be paid to you on or around 18th April 2008, which is in line with the timetable of event. I have spoken to our Corporate Actions Team who has confirmed that we have now received the cash balances for this event and we are currently in the process of crediting customer accounts. Once we have received payment from the company Registrar, we have to reconcile cash balances to customer accounts. Under the regulatory guidelines, we have 10 working days to reconcile payment to customer's accounts. However, you should receive your payment within the next couple of days. I apologise if you were provided misleading information when you contacted us on our Live chat service. Once again, I am sorry for the issues that you have experienced and trust my response fully addresses your concerns. If it does not or you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Relations Team on 0800 085 3797, between the hours of 8.00 - 16.30 (Monday - Friday), quoting the reference given at the top left hand corner of this letter. Kind regards Martin Dunne Customer Relations Team | spights
14/4/2008 18:04 | gbg looks good, i intend increasing my holding | growthhunter
14/4/2008 17:43 | If we get anything greater than 58% then it's marvellous! (I'm with Halifax also, 100% still showing in my account tonight). Anyone look at putting the cash into Gbg? I'm 80% cash at the moment. Regards, Ted | invest ted
14/4/2008 17:08 | I am using the halifax. No money yet, still showing full holding on the screen but was told payout on the 18th. Don't know what I will be left with all they said was the 58% was sold then some more but not 100% so it's wait and see. Complete rubbish. | itsmebob
14/4/2008 13:02 | All I can say is that I was told payment from III to be on the 18th april....I really hope Im wrong as I have got far better things to do with my money than leave it with Halifax!!! | brad44

12/4/2008 10:27 | Take a look at GBG- trading update soon, XD July, turned the corner into profitaBility recently. DYOR, IMHO etc... Regards, Ted | invest ted
12/4/2008 10:25 | Chessie - if my maths is right, that equates to 70% of your original holdings tendered which matches with what other people in TDW accounts have been saying. I'd call that a result. 70% at 10.39p and say 30% at 1.9p gives a mean of 7.8p a share: not great I know, but better than some salvaged from this one. | veryoldbob
12/4/2008 10:01 | We have a nominee account with TDW and initially they took the 58% of our holding and then then yesterday we received a letter, misleading as it turns out, they sold a further 29.6%percentage, but not of the whole amount I had previously held as the letter seemed to indicate but of the residue AFTER the tender offer. | chessie
12/4/2008 09:59 | Nobody yet offered an opinion on what to do with all of this spare money we have (Ha!). FFC or something else ? | philaj
12/4/2008 08:38 | Stan36: "Where are the intel wimax chips in laptops promised for 2008?" Apparently the Echo Peak modules are due to debut in May with the arrival of 'Montevina'(Centrino 2) in June. Don't expect it in laptops 'till the end of the year. But as F4 can't use those chips, it won't have much impact unless they get that license variation. You're right about the tiny investment: my calculations make Intel's cash since 2006 US$40M - a trifling sum for Intel capital and probably worth it for the publicity F4 has given them even if the company never makes a bean. I think the mobile license conversion and the 2.5Ghz frequency range up for grabs in the summer are essential if F4 is ever going to be more than an niche business. The market doesn't really like Joint Ventures IMHO - FFC only have 52% of F4 and all major decisions must be agreed with Intel who may see the business as a loss leader to promote WiMAX rather than a commercial proposition. | veryoldbob

11/4/2008 18:54 | Where are the intel wimax chips in laptops promised for 2008? Seems odd Intel would be dealing with a company with sucha tiny market cap. Maybe it all hinges on whether FFC get a mobile licence from OFCOM - otherwise I doubt Intel would be interested if just FWA i.e. their tiny investment so far is because licence is for FWA & big risk it will stay that way. If OFCOM approve a mobile licence Intel could go big guns and FFC could rocket. | stan36 |
