It's not definite, but the co. has consistently said it "intends" to return the proceeds of the OCL Loan Note. This from the last Report:

"It remains the Board's intention to distribute to shareholders the proceeds of the £17.5 million Loan Notes, plus accrued interest, which are due to be repaid by October 2009"

Bearing in mind the state of OCL, I'd guess October it is and with about a billion shares in issue, 1.7p sounds about right but expect the usual expenses to reduce it a tad...

If I remember right it was 1.7p per share, 12-18 months after the fire sale. I might be wrong if so I apologise in advance, can't help but feel they will make us wait the full term.

I think its still going to come good. As the 3G network is still not brilliant. I am with O2 with an iphone and the best speeds I get is circa 300 kbps which is quite a bit less than a half meg fixed broadband line.

WIMAX will be/is much faster...

300kbps is dead slow when you are used to just a 2meg line at home.

spights/technofoxx, the posting and the email don't really provide a convincing argument as to how Wimax is gonna become the world leader, and this young kid's business idea is, forgive me if I am wrong, based upon improving download speeds via fixed line services?

Of course Intel could not be expected to invest such large amounts of money globally without expecting returns (which is not to say that the returns are guaranteed just because laptops and mobile devices have embedded chips in them. There are already wifi phones and I had a pda from O2 which accessed wifi and skype, but they don't exactly seem to have caught on do they?

the whole paradigm shift to WimAX IS STILL PROBABLY 10 YEARS AWAY, and will of course be resisted by the mobile phone operators unless they also start investing in wimax.

as for FFG, I have been in these since pipex, and was always expecting wimax to be the jewel in the crown...now there is no crown, just a 0.25ct stone, which might still prove to be a cubic zirconium!!

all imho, and I really do wait for the day when my 135,000 shares are worth 100 quid a piece, but I am sure at the first sign of success this company will be bought out at maybe 10ppps!!
