Posted at 21/7/2022 14:35 by sooty snipes Say what you want about fat Mike, the city boys hate him but what he doesn't know about the rag trade isn't worth knowing. Well done Mike, when's the knighthood coming? Anyone remember these at 28p? Great example for the buy and hold investor. |
Posted at 09/4/2021 09:37 by netcurtains Yeah but investors like the "big kitchen sink" results - they know that (or think that) they will be buying the bottom and its all up from there. So it depends if price already factors in the "bad" results or not. Frasers is MILES cheaper than JD Sports. Look at JD sports today. |
Posted at 09/4/2021 06:14 by clocktower At least the results will recognise that many of the assets are no longer assets and worth a whole lot less than what many investors were buying brick and mortar retailers who happen to do a part of their business on the web.Rollercoaster ride again for Mikes circus but it is a fun ride that I can recommend. Down we go, heads downs, you might better jumping for safety than risking a crash. Good trading. |
Posted at 27/5/2020 06:40 by netcurtains So what do customers and investors want during this crisis?1. SPORTS GOODS - Check 2. BIKES - Check 3. HOME DELIVERY - Check 4. NEWS THAT SHOPS OPENING SOON (Evans Bikes already open)- Check 5. A GOOD BUSINESS PERSON AT THE TOP - Check |
Posted at 20/5/2020 08:48 by netcurtains If you look at the RELATIVE STRENGTH INDEX chart (second one from bottom) - The 70 is generally saying demand for this share is high - if it continues could experience sharp rise. Investors like the idea of Mike Ashley at the top in a crisis. |
