It’s not for the public it’s technology embedded in the media supply chain the potential enterprise customers we are chasing have decision makers at very senior executive levels the move to the Cloud and who they partner with are big decisions and will need extensive testing and evaluation.

'Invent a product, identify a use for the product and a gap in the market and convince the public they cannot live without it'

You should have known the company is one technology and is a very high risk investment.

Shareholders financial backing has been funding the development of new “innovative221; video technology to address the future move by companies to the Cloud.

Years of development millions £’s later we are at the point when enterprise class customers are now finally actively looking to the Cloud and will be looking for innovative solutions.

There certainly was a ramper problem across the boards a year or so ago, orchestrated by bonker99 and 1628386 among others but they were humiliated into silence. I don't get any sense of ramping from this bb any more - just reality, depression, hope, exasperation, realism, erudition and plenty of wit, the last of which keeps the place alive and readable.

My hope, as an observer, is that SS lifts his head up enough to realise that a one-product SOB company is a dangerous, narcissistic indulgence. If he ever gets a wad of cash in the bank again, I hope he will somehow become a businessman instead of a geek and buy another product or service to upgrade FBT from a diddley bow to an erhu.

Virtually all AIM companies have the flexibility to move on from a duster to another target and thus stay in the game. FBT has nowhere to go. If the Blackbird doesn't sing, the game is over.

The Prelims were released on 13th March last year so presumably they should be around that date this year.

I agree, I just think there's more than one way to skin a cat. There's no harm in taking both approaches. At the very least small content based deals extend the cash runway and give us more time for the big deal.

I still maintain we need a major US tech player to realise big success.

But yes we could see growth the hard way in the wider video market but that’s not why I personally invested here for.

The 'Broadcast Industry' is now the minority stakeholder in the video content market.

It’s me that says it’s binary!

The broadcast industry tends to gravitate to ‘StandardsR17; so if you are not a standard it’s going to be difficult.(SS did a whole blog post on Standards)

It’s also follow what everyone else adopts kind of industry mindset.

SS has always wanted Blackbird to be a standard video codec for Cloud proxy workflow.

Aimster... I do agree, this company should not have got to a 'Binary state' ....The total lack of engagement with all internal and external customers is questionable at best .... GL

Aimster... I have no issue with Golden Hello's /Share Options/Bonuses etc... If the BOD's deserve it... The timing of the RNS's in Sept were clever, if you look at them. They did not work because the Market were not convinced with regards the CEO appointment and/or his investment and FBT ability to sell the product... If they show another huge loss in the upcoming Financial Stats and the BOD receive any bonuses then that will confirm one way or another their ethics .... GL

Interesting I have always held SS in the highest regards as an ethical chap.

Yes but it was always going to take years not months!

I had a 5 year investment horizon and I am just over halfway through that.

A lot of the time it is taking for the industry to embrace Cloud video production is not in FBT’s control.

I just don't think it is binary. I think there could be steady progressive growth by putting the fundamentals of sales and marketing in place. What is harder to forgive is:- zero investor engagement- a marked reduction in ethical standards if it turns out that they did give IM a golden hello and hoodwinked us into believing he bought shares with his own money.I spent a long time before investing looking into SS and of all the things that concerned me his ethical standards wasn't one of them. So, if that's what has happened (prelims will show us) then I think that's a new low and a worrying development.

Which is why I say it’s all about the Tech!

The technology will either win customers over or it won’t remember these customers are sophisticated and knowledgeable and will do extensive tests no super sales team will make them buy if the technology doesn’t do what they need.

We can only watch and wait or give up and sell of course.

I find it a very interesting rather the depressing time.

Most investors concentrated on the Broadcaster POC and not the US technology giant part.

If the rumoured technology partner was to use our technology as a cloud based editor version of their product it would take major work on their side (2 years+?)
They are also the most secretive company in the world so we would not know about it.

I certainly would not rule a deal out with the US technology company but I would not bank on it either.
But If it happens it will be a big day!

As a reminder my thinking is that IM bought shares with a £40k golden hello he received when he joined the company. It was a little set up to hoodwink PIs into buying more (which I did) which I think brings into question the one thing I've never questioned: The Companies Morality.
