"a really annoying pointless gimmick, that millions upon millions of braindead, lazy and disorganized morons have willingly bought in the belief that it will somehow enrich their lives"

that's what i thought until i was bought one. it's mostly told to play music and it does it quite well (pretty much works like a sonos). prefer if it could control the tv too as the remote is always going missing / keys going dodgy. was sceptical about touchscsreens when they arrived on the scene, so having learned my lesson to be more open ot new tech i resolved to make an effort with this novel way of interacting with a machine and on the whole am impressed by it.

“ If the technology is good then it must be the sales and marketing that is at fault.”

Cloud Video production is a very new concept to the industry it is only now that the industry is waking up to it.
We are at the beginning of an industry shift which is seismic in total.
We can’t sell until the customer is ready.

We also face long lead times of enterprise customers of 6
Months to as much as 2 years for integrating into future products.

Boneheads,
FWIW and IMO only, the core root of the issue is SS himself. A millionaire who simply isn't hungry enough anymore. He did exceptionally well in the 90's, but time moves on. He appears to view FBT as his hobby business...and why not,it's his baby. But to market and sell his product, which undoubtedly is world class, he needs to let go big time and completely overhaul the company, even down to re-branding the product ... the name "blackbird" is simply naff.
They surely must be aware that Grabyo is a serious threat, they're even using a Wimbledon backdrop in one of their photos. Shame to see a good product mishandled by a bunch of clowns, stuck in the last century.

If they cannot make a case for their shares to shareholders and potential investors then that might explain why, using quite a number of different strategies over a long period, they have totally failed to sell their technology in large amoounts either to large corporations or individuals. If the technology is good then it must be the sales and marketing that is at fault. Have they found the sales director yet? Is the lack of visibility her fault or given the history of FBT the BoDs lack of a coherent strategy?

I still don’t know what a company broker does!

Nick, lol , actually remember from the AGM, the broker sent a rep who actually had no idea, and was not one of "his" .

Emailing AIM broker would be like asking Mary Poppins for a weather report.

Are we due to see heavy selling as investors throw in the towel?

You should email the broker since the company is required to have investor relations so they maybe in breach of listing rules.

The broker will know the rules.

However you will never get price sensitive information given to you in a private email.

Plus the company is in a closed period

Anyway email / phone the broker would be my suggestion sometimes they can be good to talk to.

I prefer a bit of feedback from the company, I don't need to see accounts, but I want an overall plan and strategy.

There is no plan of action that I can see.

I would like an update even if it sucks.

I am still holding as this is one of those that, once it clicks you won't be able to buy any.

Hoping for the best.

#553 Not true.

gnmartin,

I think FBT is the only company that I have ever written to that do not even recognize receipt of email.

I should have sold when Aziz left, a silent startup. It's an oxymoron.

“Our primary commercial objective is to integrate Blackbird as an infrastructure component in the media supply chain. These infrastructure sales have far more financial potential, although they have longer sale cycles. There is a lot of work to be done, to tackle both the lack of sales and the fact that Forbidden has been under-selling its technology, but I relish a challenge, and we are making good headway for the new year ahead.”

Absolutely nothing concrete. Blackbird infrastructure component. What would such a license yield, how could it be protected against piracy, etc?

Our primary commercial objective is to integrate Blackbird as an infrastructure component in the media supply chain.

Something helpful here would be : Realizing such a goal could could yield $XX% of a market worth $XX Xillion

I want simple and clear.

The market is XX Billion. We intend to win YY of that market.

The business model was set out in the brokers note.

However, 90% of that business model now does not exist.

McSean ... I agree with you with regards the communication. If the strategy was clear, constant and consistent these questions would not be needed. To not acknowledge genuine shareholder concerns is questionable. Good luck with your investment McS ...

I think they are trying to achieve enterprise sales of Blackbird which they have said has a long lead time.

The ball is in the enterprise customers court will they won’t they sign up.

All that is basically in Ian’s Xmas message to shareholders.

And you would invest in a business with little to no business revenue?

This seems to go around in circles. I invested in bluesky eve/ captevate potential underwritten by Forscene. At the time, Forscene seemed to be one of the very few effective cloud based video editors.

Google 'sport video editing cloud' and sadly now grabyo appears before forscene.

I have no idea what FBT are doing. I have asked them in an email to tell me how they expect to increase the share price and they told me nothing. IM is silent in an industry in which I imagine he should be courting publicity in.

I don't know how to value FBT anymore, have lost nearly all the money I invested (gambled) and would just like some communication from them to say what they are trying to achieve , I.e. what is their business model? That appears to be too difficult for them at the moment.
