The full year revenue drop is shown as c1.5% and yet profit is now expected to be 'not less than 9m' compared with around 11m forecast earlier. that surely suggest that margins have taken a hit, which may explain the savage share price reduction.
And/or the 9m is wisely conservative

Yes, I know it's a product of the system. My point is that it also provides a very cheap way of manipulating the published data. Is there really a need to trade a single share other than to produce a published figure which is unrepresentative of the objective facts?

It isn't a fix, it's just the way the auction system works. It can be binary, one way or the other. This accounts for the apparently wild swings in closing price when a stock has a wide nominal spread and is thinly traded. FLO is not unique in this respect.

I see your point - 19 shares put through the closing auction yesterday @ 106 (lowest price of day) and 4 shares today @ 115 (high price of day) and voila! up 8.5%. I would much prefer that the mid at 16.29.59 was used as the closing price.

Yes - well, it looks like someone is using the cash float in the office tea swindle to manipulate the opening and closing prices. Probably illegal, but it's only on AIM so who cares? The fca certainly won't spend time on it.

It's possible because of the thin order book.
Today's 'recorded' 9p (=8%) rise is entirely bogus and in reality it hasn't moved materially at all.
Maybe you can bet on it and make some real money? - I don't know.... or manipulate the automatic buy and sell signals on 'British Bulls' etc.

The average daily volume seems to be creeping up and the share price stabilising. I take comfort from Russell Cash's share purchase back in late Sept. Still quite a bit to go before the Jan trading update. Fils

I interpret the earning as almost exactly on brokers forecast with a 4% rise in revenues.

The EV is of course higher than MC due to debt. I always adjust for this on valuation so using that method and judging against likely PBT of just shy £11m I see that as a very low mutliple.

I consider Flowgroup to be a very solid business, payinb an excellent yield and thus a fair valuation for me would be circa 50% higher than is now present. In short I see this as being a very good time to buy stock.

Looks quite a decent trading update to me. I believe the strategy of suspending acquisitions for the time being and optimising existing operations is the right one, particularly in the face of absolute uncertainty concerning the outcome of brexit - it would be easy to buy a company which was subsequently badly damaged by brexit, whereas perhaps six months after the event there may be damaged companies available at knockdown prices.

One thing that troubles me a bit with FLO is the heavy institutional domination of the shareholder register, with the possibility of any of these institutions deciding to get out creating a slow drag on the shareprice.

So a modest increase in debt, but as Tim says, earnouts now finished and Q4 expected cash +ve.

Given the economic and political conditions being created by our abysmal parliament and sometimes hopeless government, which has hurt other shares, I think this is a pretty good result.
