11/7/2018 13:35 | I have finished buying now. The significance here is that it will probably get cheaper now! Seriously (for once and only for a minute), I think the present price is a good opportunity to buy in. I see this as a mid to long term hold. I won't be to bothered by volatility in the near term. | thorpematt
07/7/2018 23:09 | Well public analyze...let's read it. | petewy
07/7/2018 22:02 | Sorry guys didn't mean to provoke you into making a posting. Just musing on the fact the board was awfully quiet - began to wonder if anyone is interested. Agree we shouldn't just post for the sake of it - but with a trading update coming up we could at least agree to do a bit of public analysis between us. Fils | fillspectre
06/7/2018 07:56 | Welcome melody... | edmundshaw
05/7/2018 23:51 | Ok here is another post - to confirm I made an initial investment here today. Nothing wrong with a quiet thread though..... let the company and the share price do the talking. | melody9999
05/7/2018 23:04 | Point taken. But I would rather news than chat. No news then gaps. | petewy
05/7/2018 22:25 | Reasonable volume today and an upwards share movement. Should soon have a July update to see how the organic growth is going. Let us hope it is going a little more than this bulletin board. I find myself following my post of 13th June - which seems a long time ago! Fils | fillspectre
13/6/2018 20:11 | Boonkoh no sooner wished for and the share price has moved up nicely today and the spread has narrowed (according to my limited information). Do you think the market cap going past the 100 million mark may be helping to draw some institutions in? Especially with the not unreasonable but affordable dividend yield and the recent commitment for a period of consolidation? I feel the consolidation statement is possibly the Management putting their reputation for organic growth on the line. They have something to prove now over the next set of quarters. The next trading statement is also likely to raise some comment from Simon Thompson. Fils | fillspectre
13/6/2018 00:09 | I'm hoping for more interest in the share too... And therefore a tightening of the spread! That is what is keeping me from putting too much in FLO. That it would be difficult to exit if required. | boonkoh
12/6/2018 23:41 | The volume of trades since the AGM and the share going ex-dividend is more healthy than usual. Here is to hoping it stays like this all the way to the July trading statement. Fils | fillspectre
11/6/2018 21:37 | I hark back to a THORPEMATT posting from April. I like the fact the anaconda has paused to digest its prey. Now we will learn if they truly can mine the synergies and get the whole group gaining substantial organic growth. Next statement is in July. If they impress the city with the next three quarters I can see plenty of interest in an European expansion once the March Brexit is conveniently out of the way. Fils | fillspectre
06/6/2018 10:26 | solid AGM statement today IMHO. last finnCap target 215p. | mfhmfh
06/6/2018 09:56 | Is this share doomed to trade sideways for the next 6-12 months, until tangible financial benefits from the consolidation project are reported? | boonkoh
02/6/2018 09:46 | Yep, never helps when directors off-load. Conversely any time Simon Thompson recommends the market makers stick the price up for a few days. Personally I don't buy prior to a divi date bacuse I often find that there is a backlog of investors wishing to sell who wait for the divi. This sometimes cause a steady drip of sells after ex-dividend date. In particular if I see a chart that shows some recent weakness which may be heading to a test a key support level I will hold off until things shakeout a bit. Currently FLO is testing the 160p support. Once we go ex-divi it will at least be re-testing it. The next support would be at around 140p so for me that represents too big a downside risk to warrant a pre-divi purchase. Hope this makes sense and is of some use? | thorpematt
01/6/2018 11:45 | Another mention in the Investor's Chronicle by Simon Thompson today which always give the price a little bump. I'm too miserly to subscribe for the full text but from just the preamble it sounds like he gives it a positive review. Seems strange though, to me at least, for the price to drift down so much just before the big dividend. I guess the directors unloading so much stock last month has indicated to some that it's sell time? | psync
29/5/2018 14:18 | Yes, it looks like it is going to re-test the 153p that it hit on 22 March. | martinthebrave
29/5/2018 13:33 | I stand corrected, the drip drip selling continues. AGM in about a week. | boonkoh
24/5/2018 17:33 | I suspect it will bounce off 160p. | martinthebrave
24/5/2018 12:19 | A big clear out, were will it bottom ? | farmsted
17/5/2018 12:04 | Price holding steady despite the volumes. I think we're seeing a clear out of a big overhang? | boonkoh
17/5/2018 12:01 | 300,000 shares bought at 175.68p today. | mfhmfh
16/5/2018 12:12 | chunky buys today | mfhmfh
18/4/2018 15:56 | Don't know if you have ever seen a picture of an Anaconda after eating a deer. That's basically what's happenning here. In the mid-term I have great confidence in the Chairman'a ability to steer the strategy in the right direction, having seen him in action in the past...but for now I think Flo needs a period of consolidation to digest its recent binge-eating. | thorpematt
18/4/2018 10:09 | Interesting take topvest. I share your wariness of too many acquisitions. I have seen empire-building and over-optimism destroy balance sheets and earnings per share quite a few times in the past. But consolidators can make for very good investments when the industry is ripe for it and when the management has good self-discipline, organisational ability and tact (so proper pricing and effective integration). So far I feel Flo has been doing an OK job; there have been a lot of deals, but some of the businesses acquired are quite small and assimilation should not be too difficult. | edmundshaw
17/4/2018 20:45 | I think the original core business was excellent. Very long history of excellent profitability when I looked. Too many acquisitions for my liking and diluting the main core business, with too much risk. I will give it a miss. | topvest |
