Posted at 12/5/2016 08:57 by james8 hazl, I agree that there could be some price weakness due to sellers on LSE but looking at volume of shares traded on the 2 exchanges confirms Management's views unimportance of LSE.LSE vol 56,000 av for last 3 mths Toronto 8 mill av vol (Admittedly different currencies but shows scale) I'm awaiting Seltrade's response re holding in ISA. If positive may decide to hold. Got my divi on 10/5 Good luck |
Posted at 11/5/2016 20:24 by mustau Hazl, atb, I intend to remain however accept volatility not just here but sector wide. If price drops life Feb will likely add a few more. Longer term I expect with just the one listing FQM to perform fairly well. |
Posted at 05/5/2016 15:33 by mustau Was telephoned by my broker this am telling to sell out as the share price would drop considerably as the company was delisting from London, refused stating pro's, hope I'm proved correct. Presently heading in the wrong direction, drop of 1.20 in 4 days. Lol |
Posted at 03/5/2016 09:24 by paul baker I notice they are coming off the London stock exchange at the end of May. Wonder what this will mean for share prices? |
Posted at 29/4/2016 15:27 by james8 hazlIt's a tiny div and I've never held foreign listed shares. I haven't looked to see how selftrade treat them. I just bought FQM among a basket of miners in Spring. Fqm's been amazing up 100% |
Posted at 07/4/2016 15:21 by paul baker The whole sector is down today, but FQM have done far worse than anyone else. Lost a lot of money today, been very tempted to cut my loses... |
Posted at 30/3/2016 08:58 by enewman36 Morning all - today looks to have provided one of those prime trading opportunities for FQM, with the noise overnight from the US suggesting that interest rates will not rise in Apr the whole mining index has risen sharply, however, FQM is lagging behind, in fact it hasn't moved at all yet, don't be surprised to see a spike at 2:30 if the index is still holding at around that time. Only 2 trades today so far, the first of which is mine in readiness for the spike which I may well sell into depending on its velocity, if it is small I may well hold to see if there is any forward momentum in the index as a whole. |
Posted at 10/3/2016 14:15 by enewman36 Hi Paul - tbh I have about 7 or 8 that I follow, that way if one or 2 show anomalies due to a news release or something it doesn't distort the average. But in essence I follow the major copper plays given FQM is heavily involved in that area, so ANTO & KAZ, I also have AAL, GLEN, BLT, FRES, and VED that I watch. In conjunction with these I keep a close eye on the $ and Oil prices.Todays movement will be interesting at 2:30, commodity stocks are all down, some over 6% as I type, however, FQM released news this AM keeping the share price in positive territory (up 14% as I type), so if I'm honest I have no idea how it will react come 2:30, being prudent if I was in profit at this stage I would sell now and see what happens at the bell, you may well be able to get back in and start the ride again... |
Posted at 09/3/2016 11:02 by enewman36 I have been in FQM for years both as a holder and a trader and it is not unusual to have massive swings of 10%+ either way. In Canada there was also a 16% negative swing and also does track China ~(along with most other commodity stocks), so if they sneeze we get a cold. You will find that very few movements happen on this stock until after 2:30 when NA opens up, so if there is a big swing in commodity stocks on the FTSE one way or another prior to 2:30, this will not tend to react that much until after 2:30, so you can often get in and out in a day for a nice tidy profit, but also be prepared to wait a few months as well if you do catch it wrong which I have done many a time. |
