08/6/2007 09:02 | comment today by greendalef who attended the ACU agm, Heard yesterday from 2 different conversations (not in the same room) that XTA may have FQM under the microscope. | gardenboy
07/6/2007 22:48 | ram, would fit nicely as XTA have no African copper interests and this company would give them an excellent regional entry point | gardenboy
07/6/2007 22:23 | gardenboy, apparently, rumours of xstrata bidding are still doing the rounds. might be some truth in it. | rambutan2
07/6/2007 21:25 | Trading volumes still no higher than when the stock was on AIM - £5m worth of shares traded today on the LSE for a 2 billion pound company ! Unless trading volume picks up considerably, I can not see how this can go into the FTSE100 | gardenboy
07/6/2007 20:48 | khitchen - I think they will qualify in Sept for entry in the FTSE 100. The rules says that you have to be on the main market 20 days before the reshuffle. They got on the main market on the 18th May so they do not qualify. But there will be a rush of buys in Sept. | thecoolvoice

05/6/2007 21:08 | wish i knew the answer to that gardenboy, we can hope they get in the ftse 100, if not they have to be in the ftse 250 they are valued at 3 billion, then tracker funds & institutions will have to buy, i think the next few weeks will be very rewarding, do not sell a share, i certainly wont. this is only my opinion of course | khitchen
05/6/2007 20:54 | khitchen, I don't think your trades and mine constitute all the FTSE tracker funds, hedge funds and all the other UK based funds. Why are they not buying? The shares are still mainly traded in Canada atm. - $100m worth of trades in Canada tonight and that's not particularly unusual. | gardenboy
05/6/2007 20:47 | illiquid maybe, i have not had a problem buying, alas only one or two hundred at a time except for one purchase of five hundred, i dont think it is illiquid, i just think not many people know about this share. if it joins the ftse they will learn about it very quickly and at a lot higher price than today. | khitchen
05/6/2007 20:39 | an all cash offer from XTA would solve the liquidity problem here nicely :~) | gardenboy
05/6/2007 19:44 | Rumours re Xstrata on the acquisition trail. What a wonderful performer this company has been. Usual regret that I should have added more when the excellent management team had proved themselves highly competent and focussed. Will Keith do it again, this time in silver, with First Majestic? Have loaded up just in case! | pecker1
05/6/2007 19:42 | surely if it made the quarterly reshuffle due to be announced tomorrow night, it would be the most illiquid FTSE 100 share ever. | gardenboy
05/6/2007 19:27 | at its valuation tonight this should be in the ftse 100 | khitchen |
