FD Technologies (AIM: FDP.L, Euronext Growth: FDP.I) announces that the Company has been notified by CFO Ryan Preston that on 13 November 2023 he purchased 2,786 ordinary shares of 0.005p each in the Company at an average price of 922p per share.

a delegation of 50 US business people including representatives from meta, google, microsoft visited FD HQ in Newry on Tuesday as part of a tour looking for potential investment opportunities in NI. Is there any chance anything will come of it?

The group, including people from financial services, green tech, IT and cybersecurity, will visit Belfast as well as Newry to learn about opportunities along what’s known as “the Dublin-Belfast corridor”.

In a briefing ahead of the visit, Mr Kennedy said the region between the two cities was expected to become “one of the most significant economic corridors in Europe in the years ahead”.

we trained hard-but it seemed that every time we were beginning to form into teams, we would be reorganized. I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency and demoralization.

This year on track to spend 25m on R&D
KX revenues in 2019 were 90m
KX revenues this year are 72m
So to confirm, in the last 5 years FD have spent 106m on R&D, on a database that fits on a single floppy disk (not joking the executable is tiny) and managed to reduce revenue.

The product is 30 years old. Anyone who would need it (quants) knows about it. No one else needs it however much they pretend there are new markets to conquer. If they stopped all R&D, sales & marketing that's 40m per annum back in shareholders pockets.

Goodbody quotes the company as hoping to almost triple revenues from Kx in the next 42 months, question is whether they have the funds to invest in the project to accommodate the growth, assuming it takes place?

I no hopes for their new KX AI offering. EVERY database vendor is now claiming that they are a vector database so what makes KX so special? They are pumping millions into this.

ghastly figures, have to read a lot of narrative before they're disclosed: the only decent part of this is Kx but that's not profitable for another 2 years at best.

1x sales is pretty cheap for a business which is software (in part). Not getting involved, but seems bit extreme. I mean you could probably break the business up and see decent value.
