03/12/2007 17:05 | I hope they're not trying to test the £1 level - Certainly looking that way. | sat69
03/12/2007 15:50 | This price, in my personal opinion, is getting silly. | bobobob5
03/12/2007 15:30 | Dadair - Like I said - I tried at 117 - 116 - as there is negligeble risk BUT they whacked the spread out - 14 pence spread. Great. Not. It was only 10 pence when it was at £2. MM's don't want to take any chances with this. I'm thinking of using my old CMC account to get some on the TSE. Will watch for another day or two. | omellete
03/12/2007 15:25 | Hmm jus checked spread 110-124!!!!!!! Maybe not worth a flutter lol. | dadair
03/12/2007 15:21 | Also just to add, as Bobobob was pointing out on the MXP thread, FPL is a good object lesson in what can happen to a small company that tries to go it alone on a big find. | omellete
03/12/2007 15:18 | Martin - I agree - but I think the RNS today opened the debate again. On the face of it - today was good news as they mentioned the debt - BUT the Canadian Markets opinion is the only one that matters here - plus the MM's here whacked out the spread. I was trying to buy when it was a 117 - 116 - but no quote and then the spread was whacked out. Also this share is heavily inside traded as per the drop on Friday. | omellete
03/12/2007 15:17 | So simply a reaction to the announced delay in completing the convertibles? Could be worth a little flutter at these levels. Seems a tad overdone for what really is pretty decent news IMO. Cheers for clarifying guys. | dadair
03/12/2007 15:13 | Om This was from the release on the 15/11 as you can see there is further debt to be agreed but not through shares so this should be the end of the share issues. | martincoops
03/12/2007 14:56 | I think it was - but the RNS said otherwise. | omellete
03/12/2007 14:54 | Om- do you know if the company was hoping to complete funding at this stage? | dadair
03/12/2007 14:34 | Well they did not like it. But I still cannot see what was that bad - as they have announces most of the finance required will be covered. Don't trust the Canadians. They overbuy and oversell. | omellete
03/12/2007 08:31 | I think the thing to decide is this is: Will the Canadians think todays news is good or bad? You have until around 2 PM to work out the answer. This is hard as sometimes apparently good news gets no rise and bad news gets hammered. On the face of it - it is good - but there is statement in there, which still suggests that more money will be required later. The MM's are only tracking the TSE price anyway - so have not really factored anything in for todays news. Bobobob5 - What do you think? | omellete
03/12/2007 08:24 | Can someone tell why is this stock going down every week!!! have they still got any oil?? How can a stock go from over 10 pounds to 1.20!!!!!!!!!!! | coldip
30/11/2007 21:02 | Looks like we will open at 120p mid on Monday morning. | sat69
30/11/2007 20:27 | This from the bond deal Closing is anticipated to occur on or about 28 November 2007. Wonder if it has happened yet | martincoops
30/11/2007 20:05 | Looks as if you were right to wait abit longer Sat69 Starting to look good for a top up soon though | martincoops
30/11/2007 17:37 | Was very close to press the BUY button today. Just couldn't get myself round to doing it. If we stay at these levels I'll be tempted next week. | sat69
23/11/2007 10:55 | What's wrong with the blue line? It's going in the wrong direction. | baracus61
22/11/2007 14:40 | ...and the daily interest too....ouch | sat69
22/11/2007 13:57 | In time I'm sure we will recover....unfortuna | baracus61
22/11/2007 13:27 | I wonder whether the title of this thread may not be appropriate any more. | baracus61
21/11/2007 10:29 | When the Canadians stop shorting it at the open or if they release the news on the recent wells. Someone on Stockhouse posted there are 5 well results due. | omellete
21/11/2007 10:04 | Surely this cannot continue. Does anyone have any guesses on when this plummet will stop? | baracus61
19/11/2007 09:27 | It looks to me that it bounced on $3 in Toronto on Friday, that the bad financing news is through and that this is the moment to buy. 2010 first production does seem a long way off and alot could go wrong in 2 and a half years. But First Calgary has been around for so long, and sentiment is currently so bad on the company that I think from here on it will slowly improve and in a year's time it will be back at $6. | rupe1958 |
