Thanks Andy, I was getting a bit worried that something I’ve recently bought might actually be about to rise

Back to my terrible run of form, normal service resumed.

Jackbal,

It must be a malfunction, I have contacted ADVFN to ask them to correct.

Your graphics card was manufactured in Australia and is reverting to is pre-installation state.

I suggest you update your driver, and recommend you avoid reading your bank statement online until you have done so.

Given the cash in the bank, I am surprised it is this low already. Maybe after 12 months of low diamond sale prices and further cash drain but now seems premature as some big diamonds have to be recovered soon.
Give us some news on XRT test work!!

I'm surprised we haven't been bought. Apparently big share holders protecting us. Only way has gotta be up. Bring on Argyl closure 2020 I think

Major problems in SA could spread

I think the FDI chart might show signs of stress soon if it does

"I do think the tide will turn fairly soon" - let us hope that FDI is not swimming naked if it is an outward turn of the tide :-)

Andy, Berenberg put a sell note out with a price target of 2p last week, they were very cautious on most diamond mining stocks even GEMD but I do think the tide will turn fairly soon.

Yes, but,,, and i sigh,,, it could have been worse,,, no! really!,, it could have been a damn sight worse... imagine we get two more diamonds in the next six months and average 85ct/ht that would be really good.

Let's hope.

AB,

Yes I noted the comment about the water, and that has to be a concern moving forward, unless they receive some rain soon.

Presumably they could tanker up water but I would imagine that would be a very expensive exercise, and their costs are critical so there's really no margin for that, IMO. I wonder if they can recycle their used water? Probably not, otherwise they would not have commented about the water being low.

Smoke and mirrors for sure, why not release the price paid for the "record" diamond? Because it masks the poor price paid for the ROM perhaps?

Yes, a bit of smoke and mirrors regards the sale price of the normal ROM diamonds but good that the odd big diamond is pulling up the average price.
More waste stripping will see a higher expense in H2.
The lack of Summer rain is of concern with only 2 -3 months of processing water available!!! as they move into the dry Winter period (still get some snow but normally not much).
The low grade -> high grade -> low grade mining sequence seems to be a requirement to allow waste stripping in the areas as needed.
Yes, makeable = "we can cut off some of the diamond which is poor quality to make one smaller better one.

astj,

I wondered what a "makeable stone" actually is, as the term is new to me.

---

"A ‘makeable̵7; stone is the name given to diamonds whose shape lends its self to having one large diamond cut from it. "

---

Well I thought they had already said it's rubbish too, so why are they now making this statement in the results I wonder?

Come one FDI, is it or isn't it?

I think they returned to the north face, low grade a couple of months ago. I like you would also like to see prices. Further down they talk of a 68 carat sold for $900k, which is the most valuable stone they say they have sold. They also stated the 370 carat stone was makeable, but it's not it's rubbish.Need more specials fdi

It looks like there is a guy in the boat fishing, I hope he's paying us for his catch!

Maybe we can make up for the lack of carats with carp?
