20/4/2017 17:42 | Quarterly report out tomorrow? | tanelorn
20/4/2017 16:19 | Next sale mid may !! | bigglesbingham
12/4/2017 16:27 | Well I have just added another 5k to the pot. | varrirob
12/4/2017 15:12 | hello ifthe, CEY HOC and some US miners here. more a phys guy though. | hectorp
12/4/2017 10:58 | Welcome Hect! Our folios would seem similar! | ifthecapfits
12/4/2017 10:15 | Thats me back in now after several years, just a few K but there should be little downside risk and much reward . But will need some patience, I usually only swing trade over a few sessions, that wont apply here especially with the spread. I always liked the company too. | hectorp
07/4/2017 12:04 | Can you bail please tanelorn !! ;-) | pottermagic2310
07/4/2017 10:34 | I would concur with the above three comments. I failed to make a considerable amount when i bailed too soon from Lucara, It seemed to me that when LUC rose to 2.65 it had run it's course only for it to exceed $4 after i bailed. Hindsight is wonderful, but IF all carries on according to expectations this share has a long way to go, but seldom in a straight line. | tanelorn
07/4/2017 10:28 | No sellers, small number of shares at 309 million, early stage of digging/mine, this is going to go quite a bit further, and much faster if we get more news. | astjgroom
07/4/2017 10:18 | It isn't one diamond it's proof they existing and we have the capacity to mine them. Historically never could and no one trusted management with regards to the broken stones. The 20% rise comes after sustained fall in price for no reason. So plenty to go imho | bigglesbingham
07/4/2017 10:15 | Welcome rise but +20% or so for one diamond seems a little excessive! :) | rollthedice
07/4/2017 09:58 | Steady rise to 75p imho. In the top three kimberlite sites in the world was quoted 7 years ago now we are mining it with top class machinery and management with a poultry my cap equating to cost of mine 167m . | bigglesbingham
07/4/2017 08:11 | Another good day ahead by the looks of it. Now where's that RNS saying we've found another one! | ifthecapfits
06/4/2017 17:49 | Good to see you here ,Hector. What brought me back to FDI, after years of frustrating dashing of hopes, was the impressive ability of the management to deliver on the construction of the mine. (I think the quality of the diamond deposit itself was not in doubt). There was a succession of news releases during construction of the mine , and each one told a story of ability to deliver on /within time, under budget and safely. Take, for example, that of 27th July 2016. With a workforce of 779 they had a Lost Time injury free record. I reckoned that the management, entirely different from the people who ran the company when I first invested, was very competent and this would underpin, if not ensure, the company's success. So far so good. Cheers, M. | mikkydhu
06/4/2017 16:02 | ABtwo> No, i think i prefer your critique couched in 'doom'. I always thought your analysis was insightful, i even wondered whether you had worked onsite, or at least an ex employee in the industry. For what it's worth your comments about the old company, results overheads cpht and revenue were spot on, just couldn't understand your 'lean'. | tanelorn
06/4/2017 10:52 | Get in before they start mining the SE part of the main pipe! (Is that positive enough for you @tanelorn?) | abtwo
06/4/2017 10:24 | I've returned after 9 years , a lot has moved on. I should have started buying around 20p. Now we just spiked up so will wait a day or three more. But I am very interested. Would anyone make the case for 70, 80, 90p or above this coming year. I've been reading as much of this year's newsflow as possible H. | hectorp
06/4/2017 09:11 | Another RNS announcing another large stone now would put a rocket up the price......fingers crossed for another in the next few weeks! | ifthecapfits
05/4/2017 22:32 | Bigglesbingham> Cheerful post!, and 'everyone moots with a caveat' love it !! Yes i concur two a month would add valuable uplift. P.S I'm always making typo's, and find the edit button invaluable. Kind regards, Tan | tanelorn
05/4/2017 18:38 | Sorry tanelorn not tanhorn. Predictive text | bigglesbingham
05/4/2017 18:36 | Been in this since the kopane days with quite a few. Always knew there would be plenty of large stones as previous mining has proved and everyone moots with a caveat that the you can't take them for granted, well today is proof for everyone that they exist and more importantly the machinery works to recover them. The big thing to me is the excitement was the stones in the main pipe and I don't believe we've got there yet. Two more large stones in the next month would be nice. But similar to tanhorn I'm biased. I said 1mill as uncut 100+ was discovered and got a £1m price tag as reported by BBC hope £2-8 m is nearer the mark. If it was £8m then 25 more would clear debt. Suppose that puts this fund into perspective. | bigglesbingham
05/4/2017 16:26 | Well they must see the gem as price sensitive (obviously I hear you say) otherwise they would not have taken the time and cost to release an RNS about it. | ifthecapfits
05/4/2017 15:34 | Hi Superg1 > Agree GEMD, could be in trouble, although there are signs the Indian Market for lower grade diamonds is picking-up. Might help but things look a little uncertain as Gem has wasted a lot of money on a mothballed mine; Cash is reduced ! Lamphane and PRG, well i did watch the PRG fiasco unfold, but cannot see FDI being interested, nor able. Personally i think eventually FDI may be on the receiving end of a takeover bid, although with just 4 shareholders controlling well over 50% of the company, any offer would have to be strong, and hence i guess the mine will need a firmer track record. Always thought Lucara should have made an offer when the price was below 20p, it was after-all mooted. Both William Lamb and Stuart Brown displayed mutual respect towards each other. When i had a chat with the Chairman (LG), he did indicate this November as being a good date for reflecting on FDI's future. As for cpht we shall see,,,,, imo exceptional diamonds will be far more frequent than some people expect,,,, i'm sure they've found a modest blue, not small, but i can't prove it. It wouldn't take much to excite the share price. Caveat imo dyor etc. I am biased, i own far too many shares in this company. | tanelorn |
