17/3/2016 16:59 | Earnest, I agree. | andy
16/3/2016 22:13 | Still got my eyes on buying back these sparklers after all these years, but nine months is a long time in the diamond industry. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
16/3/2016 21:34 | Hi Andy, hope you are good. You are correct as always but at least the wheels haven't fallen off just yet which is I think a lot better than when they first announced the upgrade. Here's hoping for a good continued progress. | varrirob
16/3/2016 14:16 | Yep - nothing new but nice to see it reaffirmed. What share price once in production then? assuming no fund raising). | ifthecapfits
16/3/2016 11:15 | 5070481, Well, to be fair, it always has been funded through to production, so nothing new there. FDI have been assisted by the US $ v ZAR exchange rate. Let's see what happens later this year, an awful lot of mines do a financing just as they move into production, despite what they say beforehand. Let's hope FDI aren't one of them! | andy
16/3/2016 11:00 | Good news. | ifthecapfits
16/3/2016 10:39 | Funded through to production in the current economic climate is no small thing. SHould see this move again | 5070481

22/2/2016 12:22 | Bit of interest this morning. I know there was a seller in the market so looks like he may have finished. | 5070481
17/2/2016 08:41 | Leon - if you believe that world fundamentals will be in place and that diamonds will continue to be in demand in the years to come, yes, it looks like this will come good - if you are prepared to wait. Exactly what the share price will do between now and the start of production is, of course, the big question. In other words, your problem if you decide to buy is when exactly to do so. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
17/2/2016 07:46 | I've looked well into this company and read all the construction reports, what am I missing, why is it so cheap when it looks on paper a no brainer? I was invested here many years ago when they talked a good game but delivered little, this time it seems the real deal. Not in yet but would be interested in peoples views from both sides of the coin. | leon26
09/2/2016 14:33 | earnest, LOL! Market manipulation wins every time! | andy
09/2/2016 08:25 | Andy - but what's to worry when the Fed has your back? Haha. | earnestwipplethwaiteiii
09/2/2016 08:14 | earnest, Not yet, I fear market contagion if the US banks start taking large hits on their O & G debts. In that scenario, everything will fall, and it s being mentioned in the press, the FT ran a piece last Friday. So FDI looking good but the world economics are looking a bit hostile IMHO. | andy

Polished demand cautious as China prepares for Lunar New Year (Feb. 8). Good demand for 1ct. RapSpec A2 (3X, none) with large 6-8% premiums for 3X over 3VG. 27/1/2016 15:34 | Biggles From a respected mining analyst today; "De Beers reported a jump in the size of its first sight of 2016 to US$540m, from $248m for the last 2015 sight. | andy
26/1/2016 07:17 | Diamond market sentiment has started 2016 in a reasonably positive mood as supply management by the major producers appears to have resulted in renewed demand for rough diamonds in certain size categories--this is from rns by diamondcorp this morning. | bigglesbingham
19/1/2016 13:02 | tanelorn, Very sensible IMO, Lucara look a class act, FDI have yet to deliver. RNS out! Paying interest with shares, so now up to 300 million shares outstanding. I wonder if that is coming straight back onto the market, or will they hold it? | andy
15/1/2016 16:59 | Hi Andy> I cannot think of any other good reason for their exclusion. I am biased as i hold a lot of lucara. Mining resource likely to be doubled, massive finds continue ( 12 exceptional stones confirmed already for this year's first exc auction), likely to hit last years estimates (already confirmed), and on a forward PE of circa 6. Excluding the 1109(1111) and 812 carat diamonds. However i also like Firestone, and will wait awhile longer before buying in. Regards | tanelorn
15/1/2016 16:47 | tanelorn, Yes I'm aware of that, but it seemed silly to miss them out given their recent success with large stones. Many investors I know in London trade Canadian listed stocks, as I do myself. They are just as easy to trade, I can do it online with TD. | andy
15/1/2016 16:40 | Unfortunately, Lucara is listed on the Canaduian and Swedish exchanges, thus dependent upon the target audience, Lucara is frequently ignored. If Lucara was listed in London, then the company would probably have been top choice. IMO | tanelorn
15/1/2016 13:42 | Interesting that he didn't mention Lucara! | andy
14/1/2016 16:32 | Firestone gets a mention on a bullish article... | tanelorn |
