It's been fixed now |
Thanks,all. I've queried it with Stockopedia. |
So diluted EPS from 1.43p in 05/24 year end to 3.8p 05/25 year end. The increase to 3.8p is 26% up from last broker note. |
Extract from last Edison report of 17/12/24
‘We upgrade our FY25 revenue and profit forecasts, with diluted normalised EPS up 26%, and maintain our FY26 forecasts.‘ |
CFO returning from three weeks leave Monday 6th, hopefully we have news of contracts leading into HY results. Feels like could be another exciting year here. |
Yes Edison 05/25 forecast at 3.8p diluted EPS, Stocko occasionally has issues. |
Suggest you register with Edison to see their up-to-date research notes.
Cheers & good luck |
Cheers - seems odd. Makes the company appear twice as expensive. Must just be a technical error... |
trendz1,
Rest easy, there has been no downgrade!
Cannot comment on Stockopedia
Cheers |
Does anyone know why Stockopedia shows FTC as having a FY25 forecast EPS of 1.75 pence. It should be 4 pence... have I missed a massive broker downgrade ?? |

So much opportunity for Filtronic to target |
Some nice opportunity areas for growth for Filtronic here specific to RF tech |
Re the previous RNS about advanced discussions, I asked the Company and was told the following last week;
‘We have numerous exciting opportunities, some of which are at an advanced stage of discussion, but the sales cycle in markets such as aerospace and defence and “old space” can be relatively long. We would hope to have converted some of them by now, but it is quite standard in these markets for discussions to drag along unfortunately.’;
Hopefully not far away… |
I like the phrase "sovereign capability".All the press coverage of china's antics is useful as well. Trusted technology is at the core of ftc.. |
Wants to have a stab at the September high by the looks of it. |
Very strong share price action for FTC in a very weak UK stock market. Looking promising. From a technical/charts perspective, it looks like a break out above 80p could see a swift move to £1.
Also, does anyone have any views on when the new contracts (referred to at the AGM) could be announced. This was from the AGM statement:
"We are in advanced discussions for some further contracts in the space and aerospace and defence market which we hope to provide updates on soon, and have enjoyed some smaller development contract wins in recent months. Of particular note are a couple of contract wins in the space market utilising our recent investment in plastic encapsulation machinery. Encouraged to purchase by our lead defence customer for sovereign capability, we are now seeing wider interest in the technology offering throughout our core markets."
Based on this, one would assume that the contracts are material, given an intention to update shareholders.
Thanks, Trendz |
Thanks taffy24
Filtronic has been working with the European Space Agency, I wonder if we will see a contract or three?!! No ramping intended but simple curiosity!
Today however has been a good one!

EU launches €10bn space programme to rival Musk’s Starlink |
Having some knowledge as to how these things work, analyst wise, and noting the phrase about pull forward of orders, the estimates for subsequent years won't be bumped up until the company hints that the pulled forward orders for 25/26 have been covered by further wins to cover what might now be a production gap in that year. Also, as an analyst it is better to keep an upgrade later in the financial year up your sleeve rather than putting it all in the shop window right now. Finally, those of us who have followed FTC for long enough have seen these boom-bust cycles on several occasions (although it was for different product suites). |
Agree with last 2 posts. Cavendish PBT 25E £9.6M 26E £7.9M ?????? 🤔 Clown town! |
Management probably telling cavendish not to get carried away on forecasts - but it does become a bit misleading if they intentionally hold forecasts down - if they can get kit actually onto the satellites and retrofit 2025 could be massive |
Crazy that Cavendish have lifted 25 PBT forecast from 7.7m to 9.6m, but left 26 unchanged. I'm wondering in what world does bemand for FTC products accelerate hugely for 3 years and then stop? It feels more like we are on the cusp, and I wouldn't be surprised if FTC had a key role in very sensitive defence niches. |
