Mixed trading statement, but broadly positive. |
Very tight market at present can't even but 100 share on line |
"...a final dividend of 2.0 pence per share will be proposed at our forthcoming Annual General Meeting" I guess the date will then be set. |
I could not see either an XD or divi pay date. Can anyone else see it? |
Yes, it would be good to see them up the divi more than 3p to make it more worthwhile holding while we wait for the value to be outed. Still worthh £3 quite easily IMO, though. Patience required. |
The Falklands business should show more improvements this year as tourists return;I see we have an agency for Ineos 4x4s to replace/augment Land Rover.I note that the Momart warehouse is apparently worth more than book value but we have a lot of money tied up here to make very little return....At least we are in good financial shape. |
Good recovery underway from today's results. |

NAV will be about £40m, suggesting current value 29% below NAV (mainly property), which is approx 22% discount to NAV. The fall in the half year cash position was partly due to investment in property (£0.8m). They have now increased cash by £1.5m, and reduced debt by £0.4m. |
Thanks km18. What a poor advert for Wealthoracle - whatever that is!
The shares are down by 50% over the ten years. |
FIH Group is focused on general trading in the Falkland Islands the operation of a passenger ferry service across Portsmouth Harbour in the United Kingdom, and the provision of international arts logistics and storage services. The firm encompasses divisions offering logistics products and ferry services to shipping companies. Given the diversified funding structure, the firm capitalised on its competitive advantage and boosted net cash to £9.5m in 2022 from £8.0m in 2021, which was illustrated by the solid P/FCF of 18.3x. Simultaneously, the group is expected to optimise its pre-tax profit above market expectations. This plausible financial prospect is incorporated into the firm’s EV/EBITDA of 11.2x. As a result, the firm’s EPS growth leapt by 98.6%, signifying that FIH is yielding ample returns on investment for shareholders.
Keep up to date with WealthOracle AM |
Yes, deserves a less muted reaction IMO |
Good trading update |

Whoa' what's going on? FIH doesn't get itself on the leaderboard!
Mind you - the rise seems to be based on 5k shares traded :-/ |
Now here's a chap showing great confidence in his own company:
RNS dated 3 Dec. 2021
FIH group plc, the AIM quoted international group which owns essential services businesses focused on retail, transport and logistics, announces that on 30 November 2021, Mr. Kevin Ironside, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR"), sold 3,082 ordinary shares of 10 pence each ("Shares") at a price of 220.0 pence per Share. |
Slow transition to new CEO |
At least the mark up in share price on todays news has put me in nominal profit.... |
It is over 4 years, so maybe £4m per year turnover, and effectively extends previous contract that came to an end. Good news though. |
Yes - worth over 60% of mkt cap at gross value; I just hope they make a reasonable margin |
Nice contract win on construction for FIC and MoD announced this am. |
