Masurenguy - 16 Jun'11 - 448: Still watching and looking for a re-entry point. Stiil not tempted yet !

Well the fall here has been quite dramatic - begining to look interesting again but I would like to see some real indications of the broader market bottoming out first before jumping back in again !

I'm going to be quietly tucking these away until my deep pockets run dry, looking way into the future here.
China growth expected circa 8-9% is a good enough reason for me.

I've not bought in yet so i thought i would make Impys day by adding a little to the doom and gloom!

3. What about when Bolton's had enough?
Bolton has said he would run the trust for at least three years. So with a year gone, investors now have two years of guaranteed Anthony Bolton time left on the clock.

Investors need to remember that unlike an open ended fund, in a trust there is a big risk of share prices falling if there is a mass exodus of investors after a fund manager leaves.

Back in 2007, when Bolton left Fidelity Special Values, an investment trust, the succession was announced two years in advance and share buybacks were carried out to help investors who wanted to sell. The shares still moved to a discount, but less than when he left Fidelity European Values in 2001 when the shares moved from a small premium to a 15% discount.

So true and this is reflected over the past year or so. However good years often follow bad years and the risk/reward ratio makes this look attractive. I intend to invest 50% now with the intention of adding the rest on any further weakness.

worth a punt at this price will hopefully buy tomorrow, and sell in about 3 years time once I've doubled my money. I have great faith in Mr Bolton as he has always delivered in the past and made me a considerable amount of money.

Watch out for a huge sell off if the Yanks get down graded, sell bots will go berserk Im sure, but personally I'm going to sit tight & hope for an upturn towards the year end and just buy on the dips.

As soon as Whizzy stops buying these will revert to a 10-15 discount like all int he sector. Few no-hopers out there still buying this on the belief Bolton's going to knock the ball out of the park. He's taken 15 months to get his eye in and the performance speaks for itself...SELL
