Let’s see, they are turning the screw now, they need 1 major holder to fold. FPM might have won the initial skirmish however the battle is not over by any means.

SP needs to stay above 152

No, Oli12. DNO's 152p hostile bid has failed.

You have to say DNO have played this well. Despite their offer being low they have out manoeuvred Faroe and been 1 step ahead

What are the rules on acquisitions through this extension period? Faroe suggested deals were being held up....

"Mandatory" -- sounds like you have to....
You don't.

Offer has gone mandatory.

They're trying to get as many as possible up to their 152p limit.

(I was wondering why the share price hadn't dipped on the failure to secure enough shares. Now I have my answer.)

Now then, DNO telling us they are being very generous with their offer. The cheek of it..Triumphantly claiming 43% have accepted when only 13% have accepted.. rest being held by DNO.Desperation indeed to twist the truth so much. I wonder if they have considered a career in politics..

43%, Yes, much as expected.

Don't see DNO picking up many more in the extension.

So, it's turned out to be a failed hostile bid.

Share price may drop a few pence on today's news but those who declined the 152p will be in it for the longer term anyway.

I might even buy a few more at this level!

Institutional Investors have been quiet …. and the majority voted against.
It would be good to see a few buy!

Oli ..I don't think so … assuming the oil price remains stable even at it's recent low. If further significant declines occur then anything's possible.

Yeah but only 13.1 % of holders have accepted the offer. Will DNOs extension force some to re consider their position and accept.

Yes .. better outcome than I thought. Don't think another 14 more days is going to swing it.

"With public companies, it is the shareholders who ultimately decide."

Ironical statement if one considers the DNO/RAK shareholder register.

Sounds to be quite a nice place especially with the "divi-divi" trees!

"Aruba, a tiny Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, has dry, sunny weather, blond beaches and gentle surf. Constant trade winds bring cool breezes and cause the divi-divi trees to slope southwesterly. European influence shows in architecture that features Dutch gables painted in tropical pastels."
