This was "transformational" last time Nick...

I remember well the 'miracle' of oil into water fiasco!

Chrisc168 different situation now.

The drop you recall to RKH was due to made up rumours that the API was of a very poor grade, totally unfounded and resulted in a fall from £2.30ish to around 80p if I remember correctly.

Such actions could not be repeated now the sealion structure is well appraised and RKH are sat on a decent cash pile.

I remember the MM dropped the price down to almost 40p when RKH hit the sweet spot.I think they will do the same for Zebedee

Spud day and the run up to drill depth will be the most exciting period IMO.

It should be a lot higher then and that's without knowing the result. That's the part that could be transformational if early indications are good.

That's better than a bank deposit account which goes in a straight horizontal line, if you're lucky!!

Ha - and you know how they say no share ever goes up in a straight line?
Well it can come down in one in an instant :(
I know you all know the game, but I was just being tongue in cheek.
Don't want to be accused of being a ramper....:)

SThobani. In my humble opinion I would hold on to what you have, I believe there is an excellent chance Sea Lion stretches into Zebedee. The rig is almost there and drilling will start on Zebedee very soon, early March spud at the latest, I would think. It will not be an exploratory well as such, rather an appraisal and I am hoping for a nice surprise. We'll see, fingers crossed.
FOGL seem to have done some extremely good deals regards finance and have the biggest share of Zebedee and will be able to sell their 40% to the highest bidder.
Don't quote me as I am not in the oil business but love the risk/reward.

I agree agna. Best thing is either buy some shares or don't buy. I wish Argos had some cash as I think there is oil on their patch as well!

Courtesy of Dejaview on 3i

Latest position at 11.05 UTC today: 229 NM from FI (Blanco Bay). Making 7.8kn/210deg. Wind 13kn W/281deg. Temp10C.

That gives an ETA of 25/02 19.19 UTC

Obviously earlier if the North Basin, but on the screen it does look like she's heading for the East coast of the FI's.

It's looking very much like tomorrow to me guys.

thanks really help ful. I was looking at other bulletin boards but didnot get this sort of knowledgeable input from posters.

Looking at the presentation, is it correct that Zebdee will be drilled in March only and it will not cost any thing to FOGL but we would have a share of 40%. Also, it is the one where there is a 50% chance of discovery based on estimates i.e low risk hihg value which they call it.

Also, is this the reason the recent options granted to senior management was at 27p which means they gave it when the price was high not at 17p because they think they will be able to make a lot more than 27p once oil is dicovered.

I have been holding since 2011 bought at around 31.5p, never sold, was frustrated when it was 17p

SThobani...the greatest difference for me is that Fogl are not interested in being a producer. On success they will sell out to the highest bidder.
RKH will develop the Sea Lion field with PMO...and would be a longer term hold for production.
I think that is reflected in the prices.

I've been in the Fakland oilies for years now, and have no desire (see what I did there LOL) to hold Rkh until production.
It's Fogl for me. I see a good upside for them this campaign.
A lot was learned about the basins on the first campaign, and that should work in their favour this time around.
I never speculate on prices any more. Learned my lessons.
All IMHO no advice intended. Good luck if you join.

I have no idea what the share price may go to but a stab in the dark would be anywhere from £1.50 - £3 for starters. It all depends on quantity. I don't know about RKH. I held in 2010 when they discovered Sea Lion but sold for an average of about £4. I am in FOGL and I am expecting another discovery. But don't listen to me, it's all a gamble.

I was kind of thinking the rise would be slower and that would make me more cautious.
I had set my mind on selling some at 50p.(double my average) roughly about halfway through the first drill.
This quicker rise is tempting me into holding a little longer.

I still think the wise thing to do is take profit when it's there.....but this share price action is blurring my wisdom...lol.

thanks for your help really appreciated.

What do you think if they found oil in Zebdee, what do you expect price to go upto and also i guess RKH is the partner in this with us, do you think they are undervalued now

Just read the presentation on the FOGL website a few times, you will find a much better explanation than I could ever give you.

hxxp://www.fogl.com/fogl/en/home

After that, go to the RKH website, there's a good map of the Sea Lion prospects there.

Why this is shooting just on the news of rig moving, how much confident we are this time that oil will be found as i believe in past it was all gas in 2012
