Posted at 27/8/2008 16:30 by corrientes I think those in the know were aware there was no gold in the Falklands but as FOGL was floating at about the same time, I seem to recall, they thought they could also take some punters money on Fgml.I must confess I did buy FGML but sold it for a small loss as I got cold feet.My biggest loss was taking up shares in an IPO recommended by a Broker, and then adding later ! I was stupid enough not to realise that if Joe Public ever gets a look in at a small company, it means the company can't get funds elsewhere because it hasn't got a cat's chance in hell of ever coming good. Silly me. If this rehashed FGML does manage to get a substantial partner, i think a rumour will be put out to push it up a bit, then I will sell, as I bought at 4.5p. As you say, AIM is for crooks in suits. At least in the USA they often get sent to prison. Here they get a gong. |
Posted at 27/8/2008 12:26 by strategist The other thing to remember corrientes is that a lot of people bought fgml when it first floated thinking that there "would be a run" and it too had a value of £31 million ish. What happened was that they never had a run and dropped preciptiously! As far as I am concerned only the story has changed the game remains the same |
Posted at 15/8/2008 08:59 by whoppy There's the answer then £31.5M..I think this is a very good deal for FGML holders considering we had nothing left.BPC was incorporated in Jersey on 9 August 2007 as a holding company. It has invested in an offshore oil exploration programme covering approximately 15,676 km2 (3.874 million acres) in the territorial waters and maritime Exclusive Economic Zone of the Bahamas. The Company was founded by Alan Burns, Michael Proffitt and Mark Savage and holds an indirect 100 per cent. interest in five exploration licences granted by the government of th DETAILS OF SECURITIES TO BE ADMITTED INCLUDING ANY RESTRICTIONS AS TO TRANSFER OF THE SECURITIES (i.e. where known, number and type of shares, nominal value and issue price to which it seeks admission and the number and type to be held as treasury shares): 789,639,838 Ordinary Shares of 0.002p. Issue price 0.04p. No shares held in treasury. CAPITAL TO BE RAISED ON ADMISSION (IF APPLICABLE) AND ANTICIPATED MARKET CAPITALISATION ON ADMISSION: No capital to be raised on admission. Anticipated Market Capitalisation c. £31.5 million. |
Posted at 11/8/2008 14:10 by whoppy Here's the BPC websiteDoes this company have a market cap? Can't find it listed anywhere. We currently have 78,250,000 FGML shares in issue this will increase approx 10 fold after the reverse takeover. I guess they will then consolidate 1 for 10 back down to 78 million shares after admission and we will have a share price of 4p. But what's BPC worth at the moment? £3M? |
Posted at 09/8/2008 19:25 by minnows for me Huge oil reserves could to be to the north, south and east of the FI's perhaps FGML should be looking underneath! Lol. |

The Board of FGML can now confirm that the Company has not been able to identify any mineral deposits of economic interest and that the Company's exploration programme in the Falklands has been completed. The Company's 2008 AGM will be held on the 4th of March and a resolution addressing the Company's strategy will be put to shareholders at that time. |
Posted at 24/9/2007 15:17 by whoppy Pulled out and merging with another miner....one with assests, or maybe RAB have an exploration asset that they will reverse into FGML, using it as a cash shell. Lets hope the rise is backed up with +ve news. |
Posted at 21/7/2007 18:53 by atlantic1953 MAXWELL your advice to hold gold is good advice,Unfortunately fgml do not have any gold and the chances of them finding any are slim... |
