01/7/2013 09:42 | That's the big question? Had a situation a bit similar at PVR 3 years back when Exxon were forced by Govt to relinquish stakes in Drombeg and Newgrange as wouldnt commit to wells. PVR picked up both licences and so far has mamaged to farmout 40% of Newgrange to Repsol. No sign of a drill at either but all may change if Dunquin comes in. Phil is a smart guy and will want to turn industry interst into a farmout with a partner keen to get to drill asap. | hermana3
01/7/2013 09:22 | hermana.Looks like they may have played this very well but how long are we going to have to wait for a new deal.....? any ideas? | thecynical1
01/7/2013 09:21 | Will Falcon now talk with party that Hess claim they were close to farming out to? | hermana3
01/7/2013 09:19 | Davys retain their outperform and valuation of 17.8 | 197300
01/7/2013 09:19 | POQ said he would not be unhappy if Hess didnt follow timetable and now he has his wish. Looks a good play and he and Craven now have an asset primed up and bound to be some interest in it too. | hermana3
01/7/2013 08:45 | think the market is only waking up to the news..... | thecynical1
01/7/2013 08:31 | Market does not seem too upset by the news . Pretty bullish sign . | talkman2
01/7/2013 08:22 | They had already had an extension - they can't expect to have their cake and eat it! Hess have a few internal issues at the moment so I guess a small investment ( small for them ) in seismic wasn't a priority. | thecynical1
01/7/2013 08:15 | agree. may take some time to finalise though. Think we are going to see sub-placing price again so opportunity to top up. | thecynical1
01/7/2013 07:43 | Must be pretty confident they have another company lined up if they would not give them one months extension. | talkman2
01/7/2013 07:13 | Well decision at last hess not going forward, where do we go from here? | 197300
27/6/2013 06:51 | Hess seem to be embarking on the disposal of non-exploration / non-production assets following the episode with their activist shareholder. Committing to the work in the Beetaloo basin would fit in with the strategy of concentrating on exploration / production and they have sunk 50 odd million dollars into the seismic so all we can do now is wait and see what their decision is. | thecynical1
22/6/2013 17:40 | Still looks hugely overvalued to me. | flopinfo
22/6/2013 15:00 | strange trading in this. Was the little drop to facilitate someone???? Still a discrepancy between Canada and UK markets.....odd! With the Hess announcement expected next week, I guess we should see some action here in the course of the next week! Confirmation from Hess and this should imo step up. | thecynical1
13/6/2013 20:15 | Today´s announcement should make sure that there is newsflow for the next couple of weeks - Hess have to decide on a "drop or drill" by the end of this month and today´s news means that there should be newsflow through the summer as well. Interesting times - a yes from Hess would be game-changer and good news from Hungary would theoretically provide cash flow down the road. On the other hand, if Hess walk away, this could get ugly for a while. | thecynical1
13/6/2013 07:15 | Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd Falcon Commences Drilling With Naftna Industrija Srbije JSC ("NIS") in the Mako Trough, Hungary | monet
10/6/2013 13:42 | 197300 - thanks for posting that. Very interesting. Wonder if the last comment was a Freudian slip...!!!???!!! | thecynical1
05/6/2013 16:04 | Moving along nicely. 2 -2.5p p/d is okay with me :) | seanstone
05/6/2013 09:07 | 197300 - don´t misunderstand me but he is hardly likely to say anything else, is he? : ) If they go ahead as planned, this should motor imo. The really interesting thing here imo is the number of potential drills where they have basically a free carry. If you were a gambling man/woman, you might look at this as an odds on favourite at this price. They only need a very low success rate and given the partners they have, this should be easily achievable. Again jmo. | thecynical1
04/6/2013 22:20 | If you listen to o quigley in any of his presentations Hess going forward is a given. This should be back to it's feb high in jig time | 197300
04/6/2013 18:12 | starting to look stronger today and the discrepancy between the Canadian price and the London Price persists...very odd. Am wondering whether Hess´s plans are starting to materialise....... | thecynical1
03/6/2013 21:52 | For whatever reason the Placing could have gone down better IMO. The after market always looked soft; and sector remains under pressure. I got in at a decent discount to placing price as a medium term holder at the very least. I expect this to trade in the 16-18p range sooner rather than later. But who knows? DYOR | plunger2
03/6/2013 21:44 | Bought first in Canada at .21 cad bought a lot (for me) when they went on aim have high hopes for a nice premium hopefully in the next three weeks or so | 197300
03/6/2013 21:01 | still price anomalies.....odd to say the least. Has everyone else given up on this or did you all get out as soon as it went back above the placing price?? ; ) | thecynical1 |
