Humbugg,
I have just placed my EVC share certificates in a time capsule and buried them in my back garden.I intend to dig the capsule up in 5 years time when this bear market has blown itself out.The drop today appeared a lot worse than it actually was because of the share consolidation,on a percentage basis it was equivalent to a .5p drop,pre-consolidation.I agree that there is currently very little support for this stock and that it possibly has further to fall unless Turbo Genset announce that they will be supplying Electricity to the National Grid shortly. Taking a wider view i also think that there is very little support for most stocks at the moment.We are both agreed that the wise money is out of the market at the moment and is waiting for a sustained upturn.Unfortunately i think that this is not going to happen for the foreseeable future.It is disappointing that EVC is now valued at approximately its cash and no more.EVC Christows,Evolution and the unquoted portfolio are apparently worth zilch.
It will be very interesting to see the outcome of Evolutions' analysis of the portfolio and the Results for year end.
I trust that you are well and that Canaries are in full voice in your part of the world at this time of year.
I am now off to get piste.

NEMESIS,

Well, as predicted the 40p level is nearly upon us. Im staying well away as i can see this stock drifting into the 30p range, nothing concrete to hold it up, only sentiment, and that must be in short supply now.

Hope all is well with yourself....im just watching at the moment. Earnings season is upon us and it looks very bad for a lot of companies, mainly techs.

Just trying not to lose to much cash at the moment. RECALL could be my earner when it comes back from suspension, now theirs a company with substance and a future.

With EVC, from 6p to 12p its on, but 60p to 1.20p no chance. The shareholders have been stuffed again. When will any of them learn.

Humbugg,
Well EVC remained steady again yesterday on lighter volumes during an extremely bad showing by the FTSE,which cannot be a bad sign,when taken with the fact that my watchlist was dripping with blood.Never heard of 3i..aren,t they Venture Capitalists?Doesn't sound like its worth reading anyway,this board has more informed posters by the sound of it and we are all vegetarians.

Wise move sitting with cash, more bad news to come. Techs are going down again soon, a few earnings warnings coming over the horizon, still overvalued.

Perhaps you should be loading up with EVC, not...... i take it you've read the iii board, i cannot believe how many idiots visit and post, its beyond me.

Did you really expect it to be blue skies and fine weather so soon after the turmoil.Three rallying days do not a summer make.Good to see US consumer confidence up though
The market will improve when it begins taking bad news in its stride.There is a raft of profit warnings to come,at some stage the market will tire of them and normal business service will be resumed.In the meantime i intend to sit mostly in cash,dabbling occasionally.

when i checked my porfolio and saw evc i must admit to a rather large erection but after checking on why "10 for 1" i am now back to my normal inadequate size it was good while it lasted someone please pass me a ciggy

You are aptly named sir.
I believe that the Mr Crooke has possibly mistaken me for that most famous of Memphis residents.....The King.I can also confirm that i have not yet left the building and am still long.Nice to see the FTSE rallying,although this doesn,t appear to have extended to the small caps.There are some fine comments on some of the other boards regarding the share consolidation.If you get a chance go over to Moneyworld,there is a particularly humorous post that deserves a special mention, made me chuckle anyway.
Returning to the graver business of EVC,your comment regarding the opening and closing prices was noted.The mm's certainly know how to move the price around to their advantage.Also was C addressed to Mr Crooke?

Managed to offload them yesterday, Lance managed to call in a favour. Short? how am i going to go short with these, unless you know a broker who's a punter?

Naughty work this morning though, they closed 57.5-62.5p and they mark them down at the open knowing full well that the first customer on the blower is a seller.

I think we will see some action, but not before we visit 40p ish. I think my first call will be in line.

Not sure if the Epic will change but you are right about the name change.They will become The Evolution Group.Lets hope this further name change distances them from their incubator roots and puts the emphasis more firmly on Investment Banking and their first rate corporate research facility.
