Baldrick1,

Apart from the abominable English, your comment is also a mathematical nonsense. If the share price is now 63p and it will go to 55p how could it NOT see 60p on the way down ?

Or were you trying to make some clever point that I have missed ?

We may yet to see 60p before 55p range.

Blackhorse23 - UK retail appears to be 30% of business, not sure of the OTC vs. gaming machine split. Are you including online sports betting, which would make you absolutely correct?

Their key business is sports betting & that sector revenues continue declining

the white house - are we both talking about Teddington in London? There is no state of the art Ladbrokes in Teddington High Street. The last one closed on the Monday after the Grand National and the shop is now up for rent with a £30k annual fee.

Retail was 29pc 2 years back & is a robust consistent part of the business after ALL non profitable ones were shut across all networks. When 888 took over the non US part of WH the reports listed 888 first and WH 2nd until I pointed out to them that WH were 66pc of numbers. Retail was detailed then as it still is with all others. When WH rise to 70pc the 888 boss changed the reporting data to hide 'his' old part becoming less important & the name change long overdue. There IS a Ladbrokes open now in Teddington high st. Shutting 2 in same area & open 1 state of the art shop in their place is good practice & lifting revenue

the white house - I've just viewed the Q1 presentation. UK retail is approx 1/3 of the business which is a worry.

There was a knight in shining armour 7 months ago offering 156p a share.

The knight (Playtech) was sent packing. They might come back.....

I have EV of 1.78B. Almost identical to revenue. Profit is the issue. Cash is reducing. They need more cash. Make it cheaper to pay down debt through refinancing, increase revenues (not happening), increase margin, raise more cash to get them through this period. I think we will see a placing. I can't see how else they can survive?

People can say how great this CEO is but he still agreed the marketing spend in q1 that has led to this profit warning and as we all know profit warnings always come in 3's, the future is not looking that great.

Overall revenues are down on last results, making it difficult to sustain high debts.Imho it requires asset disposals to reduce debts and cut costs.

Do yourselves a favour go into linked and find Vaughan Lewis - Chief strategy officer for Evoke according to him all is good - what profit warning:"Great to see the turnaround is gathering pace now. We're now two years and a few weeks on from the completion of the combination of 888 and William Hill. We've certainly been through some major challenges during this period, but we are now one company, https://www.linkedin.com/company/evokeplc/ under the really strong leadership of https://www.linkedin.com/in/perwiderstrom/ with a world class team around him, and it's great to see the strategy coming to life and momentum gathering. To borrow a number of famous quotes, the road to success is always bumpy, and as Steve Jobs said it's pure perserverance and sticking to the strategy that ultimately drives success.
