This went as low as 53-55p last year..it could revisit it if they don't restructure the big debts by at least reducing it by half. Imho.

Is that the RNK whose share price was:

July 2021 165p
July 2022 86p
July 2023 86p
July 2024 71p

Not exactly a winner either at the moment.

oneillshaun - No, completely glossed over.

Also no rationale behind how new gaming machines will transform UK retail. I have asked IR what % of the cake UK retail is, and how this is split between OTC betting and gaming. Can anyone enlighten me here?

If other high street shops have better machines, are William Hill customers vacating the shops to try them out? Will WH customers tell their Ladbrokes friends about the new machines?

I have asked about footfall in the shops, as if that is falling, then these new machines may not solve the problem.

If UK retail is only 10% of the business (my guess?) then it will be managed decline with the unprofitable shops shuttered first, like in Teddington where two Ladbrokes shops have closed in the last 2 years. There is now No betting shop in the town.

Regarding the exit from US, (to be completed by year end, costing about £40m) is that fully included in yesterday's update? If so, the update isn't too bad, but if the £40m hit is included in H2, then H2 won't be too clever either!

Expect share price to be volatile until we see numbers to underpin the turn around plan.

The profit warning is a disappointing and largely due to expensive advertising campaign not translating to higher profits.

That said there are also some good positives in the update too.

Agreed but it fallen from 130p last Sept to this with a new CEO on board who was meant to be the saviour yet in his first 9 months they take a phenomenal hit from the US and a major profit warning. Was an explanation given on the call for the marketing disaster?

It's only a problem for investors with no patience. Evoke is significantly undervalued and share price will go up again and another bid for the company is quite likely

Per joined as CEO last October so he was full aware of the marketing plans for H1 2024 yet they went ahead and wasted money, I assuming the huge costs relate to Cheltenham. Why is there nothing about Africa I thought this was generating solid revenues and traffic.

What ever you decide to do never invest more than 1% of your total investment in a single company, imo of course.

This was when they had the US business they will not get even close to that right now, and if they screwed up the last 6 mi the so badly imagine the same for the full year.
