Bit unusual releasing an RNS to tell us they will release another RNS the next day? Is it meant as a warning to the market?

£9m cash would be my guess v £10m market cap. I think there IP is worth significantly more then £1m. IMHO

Another positive sign, having the audited accounts being published tomorrow. There might be other good news released at the same time.

Just over two months since the business year end and we will see the progress.

MD: This is exactly why I (and no doubt a few others) are sticking with this company, even though the opportunity cost thus far has been not inconsiderable.
Just hoping the day comes soon where we get some news that really sparks interest here. And then when we get a flurry of new posters portending doom...we will know it is time to add more :)

There is your buyer. 400k at 3.6p.

OT in that case it may tick up sooner if a buyer comes along. I guess the 100k buyer could not get another 100k from the MM at 3.6p

I could not agree more MD.

If another 300k or there about's get purchased, without further sells, it may in fact tick up today for the first time in a while.

As with MTPH, EVG has hit rock bottom in terms of the share price. One bit of good news with MTPH and its up 50%. EVG is due news on several fronts.

Phase I study of biomarkers:

Design of this trial is almost complete and a dialogue with the MHRA has commenced. The intention is to start the trial in Q2 next year as soon as the new tablet formulation of SFX-01 has been finalised and manufactured in sufficient quantities.

Metastatic breast cancer :

This would be designed as a Phase II placebo-controlled study and most likely would be conducted in partnership.

Glioblastoma :

We are now at a late stage in designing a Phase Ib/II clinical study and liaising with potential trial sites in the UK and across Europe. The trial could commence in Q2 2022.

There is lots of news to come:

As the pipeline extends, so will the share price I guess and it may not be long before the next step is taken with glioblastoma Phase 1 trials.

Recovery around the corner hopefully.

Only one MM left on offer now at 3.6p.

Totally agree Clocktower. There is news due this month.

Currently 3.6p to buy versus the placing price of 8p. As with EVG, i have also acquired MTPH. Both have significant potential.

Just take a look at LVCG if you want to see one zoom past it last funding at 5p - It shot up from dropping to just over 3p to 12p (now back 7.5/8p. So I would hardly call 8p level heady MD.

I also doubt that any major holders have trimmed, other than maybe to manipulate the share price and nibble back in on these falls but only enough that they do not have to declare a change to their holdings.

When positive news is released, a few buys of 100k shares will see this rocket as sellers will dry up, and investors/traders will be looking to turn it over and volumes will increase exponentially imo.

I should have added, just one 700k sell yesterday needs to be shifted before we see any rise if there is no more selling at the current low bid.

One can buy online at 3.55p as I checked those last two small trades.

Lovewin.

A very good post and I totally agree. EVG did have £10.8million at interims and expect that to go down a bit but well cashed up. The placing at 8p seems quite heady at the moment. There was quite a few news items due this quarter and we have one month to go.

The trouble is, even with good news demonstrating progression, unless it is something stellar, there must be a number of trapped holders who are going to dump into any rises, let alone if we revisit the heady heights of the last fundraise which was at 8p.
Not nearly enough effort made to raise - and sustain - market visibility IMO.
I said before (on this chat board I think) that AIM minnows really have to bang the drum to summon and keep investors on board, because the pool of potential investors willing to put money into the AIM is really small, unlike the number of AIM investment opportunities out there. All have a great story to tell. Pretty much all of them, at one point or another, offer the narrative of potential riches if everything comes off. While never a guarantee, inside buying (especially when it is a decent slug) really does make an investor feel that the BOD is aligned with them to a fair extent.
I no longer invest where this is lacking - but I did not take that approach a few years ago, so this and a couple of other AIM stocks sit within my current p/f when they would not if looked at fresh today.
I would probably buy this company at the current m/cap for a trade though.
Anyway, despite all of the above, obviously I still retain some hope of a dramatic turnaround here. The collaborations, the juv funding in the pipeline, the current share register with some impressive names etc (even if some are trimming their positions, as I think they must be).
I would and indeed will sell up and eat a pretty big loss if these factors were not evident or change. I would never have continued stake-building the past two years either.
Not at all happy, but sitting tight at the same time. Have a final top up price in mind if we get to it but willing to risk the lot at this stage because 2022 will give us real clarity one way or the other. AIMO. GLA.

While it is still heading back down towards its lows of a couple of months ago, the volumes driving it have been very small and it has it seems been caused more by investors being very careful and wanting to remain cash rich in these turbulent times.

It is disappointing that there has been a lack of news but equally there could be very positive news just around the corner and they are waiting for all these holidays to pass and maybe a few nerves to settle before springing it on the market.

Remember this company is well funded and these collaborations are providing the business with the tools to strike gold.

Unlike markth123 my holding currently is small as I too am waiting for news before buying a lot more, however if it slips back a bit more I will purchase a few more, as I look forward to more news from the trials before very long.

I cannot argue with any of your points, mrwizard and OT, while also acknowledging clocktower for the more bullish stance.
The lack of regular marketing, to really get home the developments being made here, is the chief reason for us being at such lowly levels IMO - and it is not just because of the current investor apathy to small cap bios - because it was the same story two years ago, when other outfits strikingly similar to EVGEN were multibagging, left right and centre.
I look at the picture of Barry on their website and think this guy looks like he is enjoying life! But maybe I am doing him a disservice. Maybe he works night and day to make this company a success. Maybe it really is his passion etc.
This is either going to explode in one direction or the other, sooner or later. If it is to the downside, all these red flags that we have been discussing (including lack of decent inside buying) will make it a 'doh' experience.
But you pay your money and you make your choice. Absolute disaster for me so far anyway. GLA.

In his 2 year tenure, Huw and his cohorts have demonstrated an inability to make value creation progress other than establishing a series of academic collaborations which have not added shareholder value. Timing on collaborations is dependent on academic time, notoriously slow and subject to university funding and staffing issues. I do not consider such collaborations to be business development achievements. What is the CBO doing??? Silence but she is still being paid.
There has been no communication about planned clinical trials. What about the FDA? What is the CMO doing? Again, silence but he is also being paid.
What has the executive chairman been doing? Silence from Barry.
Kight's investment in EVG seems strange. Is it driven by insider information???
If anyone has contacts at the major investors, please push them for more active involvement with the company.

It's unfortunate that Huw appears to have no idea how to communicate with the market. This would have been a great opportunity to update on the current status of the two clinical trials we were led to expect progress on by now, but as usual Huw utters the minimum possible information then disappears again.

Another bit of good news for you markth126, after what has been a long wait.

Good luck with that size holding but with a these collaborations a really good financial deal maybe struck with a major player before long that would send the value of your holding rocketing well past the last raise level.

If the market was market was more settled, I guess this would be at least 6/7p now.

It would seem that Mr Knight has stopped adding to his very considerable stake this week.

News is now needed before we see much more movement I suspect.

I suspect he was the main buyer from when it was around 3.2p and recently there have been 100k sells and buys plus all the others picked up on the way.

If he wants any more I guess he will have to up the price he is willing to pay, as they will be in shorter supply and a few more PI's might start to average down, picking up more while it remains under the last raise at 8p -

Bear in mind the company has a large cash pile still.

The next few weeks might even attract a few traders.

If SFX-01 turns out to be a bonanza compound, then clearly he will make it very big. Those are the risks and rewards.

This excludes Jim Mellons Juvenescence deal with Evgen. So there is quite a bit here however, with a bit of news.

But it is great to see him adding stock.
