Market cap for EVG = £25m - result of phase II/III trial this month ( anytime now )

SHP2 shore signal growing clearer with Amgen’s Lumakras in port

Amgen Inc.’s Merdo Gordon, head of commercial global operations, said just-approved Lumakras (sotorasib) is “priced very well compared to other targeted medicines available in the market” for cancers driven by specific mutations. “Just characterizing the launch broadly, look, it’s really hard to tell because of the variability of our reach to customers right now” – a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amgen Breaks Through as FDA Approves Lumakras for Elusive KRAS Mutation

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave the green light to Amgen’s Lumakras under accelerated approval as a treatment for patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer with a specific gene mutation whose disease has worsened over time. It is the only FDA-approved treatment for this specific form of lung cancer.

“Patients with non-small cell lung cancer who have progressed beyond first-line treatment face a poor prognosis and have limited treatment options available to them. Sotorasib delivers a new option for these patients, and it is the first KRAS-targeted therapy to be approved after nearly four decades of research,” he said in a statement.

Lumakras will have a list price of about $17,900 per month. Amgen is assessing Lumakras in other solid tumors that have a similar KRAS mutation.

It is also worth clicking through to the full research. Amongst the conclusion was this bit;

"According to our results, sulforaphane not only increased the average lifespan by approximately 17% but also improved the healthspan, which is of great significance for the development of new anti-aging drugs. Our results showed that sulforaphane increased appetite, food intake and mobility and reduced the accumulation of lipofuscin and ROS. These phenotypic changes are related to healthy longevity [3] and thus suggest the consumption of broccoli or supplements obtained from this vegetable as a new promising anti-aging strategy"

I will keep eating my Broccoli!!
