Paul Pinder, the chairman of Sleep PLC very genuine person, wouldn't have purchased the share this morning if he though the shares were worthless, I'm very optimistic that he know the Dream agreement and just being in Europe will meet expectations for the market when results are out. BUY, short target 45p, long term back to last week high before going back to year high

Have to admit, looks very cheap down here. Almost valued at cash... can see a decent bounce coming. 400k share buy is a massive vote of confidence as well. Will we see more?

Buys starting to pick up now , looks positive if the Director buys 400k shares, news of this is starting to get around.

thanks, what is your opinion about the dreams deal?

Agree, dreams deal is a hugh deal considering this has nearly DOUBLED their retail presence. Also CEO out means company means business and want to change direction.

Totally agree, but with a deal with dreams things will move forward, I think the price fall was overdone , should hopefully close around 35p to 40p before moving up if the next RNS shows the overall growth of the business

There is no point quoting a Shares mag article from August 2017 saying eve was a buy at 84p because it was "able to scale quickly internationally without the requirement for significant capital investment", when almost 11 months later the share price is 30p, largely because the management didn't in fact understand what was needed to expands successfully into European markets.

Also worth noting that the old article included a forecast that sales would be up 145% this year, when the increase is only 61%; and even on the more optimistic forecast, the company was looking at a £11.5m loss this year and barely break-even in 2019. So profitability/positive cash flow is now out of sight, and cash at 31 Dec 2017 of £26.9m has to contend with net cash outflow from operating/capital investment which ran at £16.4m last year. In other words, the cash is likely to run out before the company starts generating positive returns.

imjustdandy,

That cash position will be swallowed up over the next year.

Looks like big sell on open clearing, should see jump to 35-40p

Read chairman statement East. They don't need cash While we do not anticipate a near term improvement in the external environment, we have a healthy net cash position, our trading continues to far outstrip that of the market and should be underpinned by Company growth initiatives including the Dreams partnership that we expect to benefit the traditionally stronger second half. We remain convinced that the sleep market will continue to transition online, that the opportunity to build a new brand of size and strength is significant and that eve is well placed to achieve this."

As I say, it's trading close to cash here so the business is in for zero based on 28p. Overreaction!!
