Passed - now lets see what the team has up their sleeves regarding the time limit of the 8th August - I suspect they have that well under control from a legal aspect.

4S, Jus keeps on about these assets like the industry didn't know about it, lol?!
Wtgr I have heard respected BD people saying things like... 'this is merely a decision as to whether EOG have stolen a march on the mkt. and if you believe that farm in'...?
Results to date imply that the market dont agree with Eog but I personally have bought some on this gamble because a stopped watch and all that...
All imho and dyor!!

I agree Dunderhead. At best this news weakens our hand in any discussions and I am not a fan of the deal making prowess of EOG to date either.

Predator spurred on no doubt by my enthusiasm for the area ;-) However - the board has inside info on their chances as Enterprise drilled the only well in their block round about the turn of the century in what appears to be a three drill program. Their block is comparitively small in acreage compared to ours and the well that was drilled to the South of Corrib was P&A. Probably confirming the extent of what became the Corrib field.

Competition is good particularly when it appears to be inferior to our offering and it will help attract more interest to the area.

Agree spangle but they are going to need to farm out similar to EOG and are potential partners competition to doing this.
Reading Jus's posts it seems an almost done deal between EOG and Vermicelli petroleum for a barn storming farm down ?
So now we have others looking to do similar and a comparison for the world class EOG mgt.
At this point I am betting on EOG mgt but not that confidently looking at deals done to date!
All imho and dyor!!

The RNS announcing the float has more definition

Offshore Ireland, Predator seeks to move forward to further develop its existing licence position subject to regulatory consent and approvals. The Predator near-term focus is on gas exploration immediately adjacent to the Corrib gas field infrastructure, where in 2017 Shell sold its 45% stake in the Corrib gas field, subject to regulatory consent and approvals, for a reported USD 1.23 billion. Successfully exploring for and developing Ireland's potential indigenous gas resources, in areas where medium-term satellite tie-backs to producing infrastructure are feasible, is seen by Predator as a means of reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the future by providing the opportunity for gas to replace coal and oil as a source of energy.

svenice7, I was not ramping. You clearly don't understand that Corrib is of interest to EOG shareholders and I posted the article to give the context. I clearly stated the penultimate paragraph was of interest.

22 May '18. Proactive Investors:
Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc is to be a new listing in London that will bring together two plays that many exploration and production focussed investors will likely to be quite familiar with.

The company has a Trinidad based enhanced oil recovery project as well as exploration acreage offshore Ireland.

It is raising £1.3mln of new capital through the London IPO. The placing was said to be “significantly oversubscribed”;, the new shares are being sold at a price of 2.8p, and the funding will give the company a market capitalisation of £2.8mln.

“This is an important milestone for the group,” said Paul Griffiths, Predator chief executive.

“Our portfolio of assets has been built to create operational momentum thus ensuring that we are ideally-placed to grow rapidly, as market sentiment in the oil and gas sector improves, and drive returns for all stakeholders."

In Trinidad, the company is poised to fund near-term drilling at the mature, producing Inniss Trinity oil field - in return it will earn a 50% stake - and the well data will flow into the planning for an enhanced recovery venture.

Off Ireland’s west coast, Predator has an exploration licence immediately adjacent to the Corrib gas field (which is the country’s largest established hydrocarbons project). It plans to test potential satellite gas prospects which could potentially be tied-back to the Corrib infrastructure.

The IPO is being run by brokers Optiva and Novum. It is expected that the shares will be admitted on Thursday May 24 to a standard listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
