28/1/2018 04:26 | Tommy, yes I did and referred to this on Lse. Undeniably these chaps have great experience etc and I respect his views but tbh I myself am not convinced they are 'good fit' for eog but wtfdik?! Also assuming I am wrong (often happens lol!) and they are good fit for eog, such a move should have been pro actively 'recognised' years ago and, as I also commented on Lse, any 'congratulatory' comments are imho laughable at this late stage. Let's hope any future 'corporate' developments which need to be funded through share placements, do add value for eog and don't just add shares because to date, the record does not appear to be that good and yes, I realise that we still have to wait for the 'results' of last placements to work through the 'investment cycle'. I personally hope these new positions are linked to a farm down in progress, which will provide a free work programme and no more share placements, unless for immediate value adding accretive deals. Once again all imho and no investment advice intended. | dunderheed
27/1/2018 23:25 | Did you note Paul's recent comment? "Very good move boosting the board. Two well-respected guys in the industry. Shame Colin couldn't turn it around. I know he tried. Hopefully these two will make the difference." | tommy241
27/1/2018 23:17 | Tommy mate I have been with eog 6 (at least I think?) years!! I bought because I liked Paul and Erika. (think that was their names?). It's so good damn long ago I can't remember!! | dunderheed
27/1/2018 22:41 | Depends on what cost any additional acquisition is, thats if they are successful. Interims EOG had over £3.5 mil in the bank. And positive cash flow at these OP levels. DH - I know patience isn't your strong point, but give EOG's new Chairman time, he's only been at the helm for 2 days. Lol | tommy241
27/1/2018 22:18 | Reserved for pram. | dunderheed
27/1/2018 22:18 | 6499 mate no chance of that lol, they're not even worlds apart. I'd put the gap between tcw et al and eog mgt at galaxy/universe level. Rre have done an absolutely cracking deal as well btw. | dunderheed
27/1/2018 22:06 | Indeed, see CP's post 6479 Hugh talks about three new areas.... whatever they are, they aren't going to pay for themselves from current cashflow, are they? And given EOG's track record, I don't believe that any placings will move the shareprice ahead. More equity and more spreading of Hugh across more projects. Of course, Hugh might pull off a cracking deal like Tony Craven Walker's over at Serica...... | caters
27/1/2018 18:55 | 6497 history? | dunderheed
27/1/2018 18:22 | Caters, what makes you think that? | tommy241
27/1/2018 15:47 | Re 6494 I'd like to say that you were but I have a feeling that more dilution is on its way. | caters
27/1/2018 15:28 | Big Brain never spent much of his outrageous salary whilst at PCI on buying shares. I wonder if he will take a small punt here. | seangwhite
26/1/2018 16:14 | Yep - I wouldn't like to be out of this by the Yearend ;-) Here's hoping that I was the last one EVER to buy EOG shares as low as 4.503p | jusmasel99
26/1/2018 15:56 | Well nice little pick up at end of day so here's hoping! I may idss the mgt but I do sincerely hope one of these 'bets' pays off! Good weekend all! | dunderheed
26/1/2018 14:54 | Talk on this board and LSE board about how much the ex Kosmos seismic is worth, well Antrim sold theirs for £250k over one licence - we have two so £500k I would assume although the Antrim sale was a firesale. The most valuable prospective asset we have must surely be Corrib 16/20 with not only seismic but a discovery well to boot. While Hugh obviously knows these guys from when the worked for Enterprise I don't think its a co-incidence that Brian at least will have inside knowledge of Corrib and thoughts on our prospects there. The longer we wait for an RNS regarding the two new directors buying shares the better the prospect of news coming our way on Corrib and our 'new' frontiers.... Rodney ... I know what I said last year and the year before .. but really ..., this time next year .... | jusmasel99
26/1/2018 14:30 | Hugh has let in his fate through the back door. | caters
26/1/2018 11:53 | Plus all the 'holding / G&A costs' associated with all these valuable promote licences. | dunderheed
26/1/2018 11:45 | roger, "just need to find the right one and persuade someone to drill it!" is not that easy considering the Atlantic margins drilling history. Yes, in time the Atlantic margin will produce huge amounts of hydrocarbons. It all down how long you and others here are prepared to wait. ATN, GD | greatfull dead
26/1/2018 11:40 | "The insights we are getting from the new reprocessed data are dynamite". The south Porcupine has taken a knock because the Druid/Drombeg drill was dry, that was inevitable but it doesn't mean there is nothing in any of Europa's prospects, just need to find the right one and persuade someone to drill it! | rogerlin
26/1/2018 11:18 | herm (6483) - slightly 'less polite' way of what I was saying in 6481 (lol I am a lot more restrained in me old age now!) - but I've got to admit matey I do totally agree!! I got out of PCI in profit and small 'bet' but I must have been extremely lucky (ahem i'll get me hat!). All EOG'ers ATB! | dunderheed
26/1/2018 11:15 | hi Spangle, nice to see you still about! In his words its time to "walk the talk" | currypasty
26/1/2018 10:50 | Is it raining this morning where you are, Curry? ;-) Thanks for quantifying starkly what I think most term holders suspected. | spangle93
26/1/2018 10:46 | CP wtgr - I think the figures do not lie matey! They need production NOT further promote blue sky stuff or it could end up the same way as a lot of their other 'industry interested' promotes. TBH when I first saw the headline BOD changes headline, I thought Hugh was on his way out lol! I know these (new) guys have years of experience and have achieved far more than me in E&P but, one has to question what exactly is their motivation at this stage in their careers and bearing in mind BB's last role, one 'may' say he was guilty of over-valuing the company assets and not being open to very generous valuations when they were offered? One could deduce that the current BOD may have been a little exuberant in their valuations of the Irish portfolio? (Excluding Corrib stuff as this 'play' coming to light is relatively recent). As ever all imho and no investment advice intended. | dunderheed |
