I am hoping the price is in a bullish falling wedge. I have seen the price double from such patterns. We will soon find out.

yikyak and richgit - what are your views on EUA at this point in time ?

the short term trend on the chart looks terrible, a steep downward slide, presumably because the market isn't convinced and people have drifted away and without news theres nothing to cheer us up.

i could sell up to 2m today online if i chose to, tho for some reason my AJ bell account is playing up this afternoon so no idea whats going on, but i think systems often break down on heavy trading days and today is another bad day generally.

I don't know if this will fall further or begin to recover, and i don't know when the company intends to release news, but the fact that i could sell up to 2m shares online tells me that we have a buyer, probably a limit order set at 0.44p so i sold a few bits and pieces to cobble together enough to buy another 1m shares, but my AJB account isn't showing any of that yet, just what i started with this morning.

Maybe i should have waited, but i think we are near bottom here, close enough for me anyway since my average is 44 and it stays that way, and i know that eventually this will pay off.

yikyak was on the gold thread just now for you old timers...

I would like to think that China and Russia are quite capable of resolving any EUA problems without the Hinderance of the USA

I should think Russia will be very keen to get the Sinosteel deal to production as it will provide income for the government.

The sanctions will oppose the extension of any loan or financial or technical assistance by international financial institutions. I do not think China comes under this ban.

They would also prohibit any United States bank from making any loan or providing any credit - except for loans or credits for the purpose of purchasing food or other agricultural commodities or products.

The USA have imposed financial sanctions on Russia, except for food.

It's unclear if that will hinder the Sinosteel deal or any potential takeover.

USA reserve currency is been challenged, it will bring USA dollar down, I give it 2 to 3 years before thing get really nasty for it
China trade war will not stop for years, chinesse will not buy more dollars or go there on holidays
Mean time world will panic with Greenland melting big way, PGM demand will increase

And we'd still be waiting for the WK results and the Sino money to appear!!!! :o)

American sanctions, on Russia, Iran, Syria, Venezuela and tariffs on China all diminish the currently strong dollar. Iran trades with China using gold.

Trump likes gold, and I'm sure he has a hoard of bars somewhere, so maybe he personally benefits from a string pog?

PGMs and nickel are in demand, copper will be in due course. Pt is currently trying to rebalance.

Imho Donald Trump has a lot to answer for. His tariffs have greatly subdued the EV revolution which, in turn, has temporarily killed copper demand. It's a bit like DT saying 'you may have got everything right but if you look like outperforming us we will cheat. Until these daamaging bullyboy tactics are stopped he will have world trade in turmoil. The only certain outcome is the demise of the dollar and a rerating of commodities to true value in the grand scheme of things. We are in the right place for the new industrial revolution but food production will play an ever increasing importance in major economies for the future.

Wondering if now is a good time to pick up some bombed out copper miners, there can't be many making profit, all the signals are dire, prices rock bottom.
