BOARD APPOINTMENT: CHAIR DESIGNATE

 

Essentra plc, a leading global provider of essential components and solutions, announces the appointment of Steve Good to the Board as independent non-executive chair designate with effect from 1 July 2024.

There will be a four-month induction and handover period during which Paul Lester will remain as chair. After nine years on the Board and in accordance with Provision 19 of the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code, Paul will stand down as chair and from the Board on 1 November with Steve becoming chair.

Steve has strong and relevant international experience in industrial businesses, manufacturing and B2B markets. He is currently non-executive board chair of Norcros plc and was until 2023 non-executive board chair of Devro plc and Zotefoams plc. He previously served as a non-executive director and remuneration committee chair of Elementis plc and Cape plc and as a non-executive director of Dialight plc.

In his executive career Steve was chief executive of Low & Bonar plc from 2009 to 2014. Prior to joining Low & Bonar, he spent ten years with BTP plc (now part of Clariant) in a variety of leadership positions managing international specialty chemicals businesses.

Steve will serve on the Essentra nomination committee which he will chair when Paul steps down.

At the date of this announcement, Mr. Good has no interest in the ordinary shares in Essentra plc.
